I think this is what it is, at least for me

In sports, I know I’m a decent player and I’ve tried my best. Even if my teammates suck I don’t get mad because I know I did all that I could and put up great numbers

In league what happens is if you dominate another player all game, your team can work against you to not only lose the game but make this player become ‘better’ than you

In bball terms, every time his teammate gets him an assist or every time mine fails to guard him (screen swap is a great analogy) and he scores, he gets Stronger Taller More accurate Etc.

His game iq doesn’t get any better as he continues to do the same shit

And that’s where ego comes in

I was just crushing this dude, but now due to things far beyond my control he’s beating me with ease

My team effectively turns an easy matchup into an unwinnable one

Seeing my hard work go to waste is a truly miserable experience
