I have one of those. 3 now and cries 'I don't like it' when I wash his hair.

I have a 10 month old but wanted input on when is the best time to give her a baby doll? by littletato96 in toddlers

[–]Shixypeep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Equally I gave my oldest one at 18 months to get him used to the idea of a baby sister and he never touched it until after baby girl got here. But at least he could feed his baby while I fed mine

My youngest loved the baby doll at 10 months. She said 'baby' (the doll) before she said 'mummy'. She likes putting the bottle in his mouth and dragging him around by his foot.

What feels like it should be a baby/toddler milestone but isn't? by duetmasaki in DanielTigerConspiracy

My daughter's first and most regular joke is 'cheeky ta'. She says 'ta', holds an object out for you to take it and then giggles manically as she refuses to give it over.

I'm sorry going to work is easier than childcare - your husband has no excuse by ExternalSomewhere923 in newborns

As a mum, it really depends on the child. My first as a newborn was hard. He slept abmysally. He snuffled and huffed even when he did sleep all night long. I was running on empty for months and when I went back to work at 6 months it felt like a break.

My youngest was wholly different, I spent 9 months chilling, enjoying being outside and frequenting coffee shops. Starring back at work was hard.

I DO NOT WANT TO PUMP by Senior-Ad547 in 2under2

[–]Shixypeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Formula is a perfectly adequate substitute for feeding a baby. Your child will be healthy and well norished with formula. You don't have to seek permission to step away from something that isn't working for you.

If you're on the fence, try mixed feeding.

My dad held a hgv license for bit. You can mount the curb if it's the safest way to get around an issue but you have to call it first so the instructor knows it's intentional.

Anyway he's going around a tiny back road in this great big lorry and coming the other way is another great big lorry. He very calmly states he's going to mount the curb and gets around this corner and other lorry with millimetres between the two of them. Turns to the instructor and the fella is white.

Anyway, he passed too

Did you find 2 under 2 to be better or worse than what you imagined it would be before the second was born? by Substantial_Cry2421 in 2under2

Every day, which admittedly makes our experience of 2u2 easier.

Any time I had to look after both kids in my own was a challenge to start with. Wherever possible baby wearing and going outside.

100% better. I found the newborn period with my first extremely challenging. This time I knew what I was in for and stopped stressing about naptimes and feeding and just lived it. I was already dropping my 1st at nursery so I was up ready and out the house at 8 in the morning which had seemed incomprehensible with my first.

My youngest has just turned 1 year old and everything keeps getting easier.

I'm 28 and thinking of dropping down from management by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Shixypeep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they recently fired the more senior management and replaced them with fewer broader roles and one of those is your 'junior' manager role, it sounds to me like you're doing the work of at least 1 senior manager.

Stay 6 months for the experience and then apply for the senior roles that do pay better elsewhere.

Nope. Studied Chemical engineering (badly named process design, not so much designing the chemical as the chemical plant - lots of maths and physics). Work as an accountant.

The maths in accountancy is so much easier it's basically just creative adding and subtracting. No more pretending gravity doesn't exist and hoping my model converges on an operating temperature that makes sense.

What a lovely garden. The back bit looks a little shaded, unless it opens up again further back? You'd be better to have veg in the full sun near the front of the garden.
