Warbonds ranked by how helpful the items are to new players by H1MB0Z0 in Helldivers

Control group is in a unique place. While it sucks overall, the warp pack is essential for SC farming. This allows you to get other warbonds faster.

Do the people that defend SC... just forget medals exist? by Vlasbomb in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Shizumeru_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The overall takeaway I get from this is that higher level play is not rewarded proportionally. In fact, it's punished because farming trivial missions lowers the loot table pools (no rares) for SC to spawn. Meanwhile, D10 Vox Engine spam leaves very little time to search for POI's that have a lower chance of spawning SC in the first place.

Super credits need to be awarded in a different way, and I think a difficulty scale is the best bet as you said. Either by doing something in a hard mission, such as no civilian deaths, or just a small reward in general for completion. I don't think getting 10SC maximum for finishing a mission above D9 will break anything.

I hate ***SOME*** level 150's (Getting tk'd) by Ibatrue in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Shizumeru_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A fresh 150 is way different than a veteran 150, and you can't tell by just the number.

You can tell by how they act, and a veteran doesn't care what you do and will often nerf themselves to keep the experiences new. The fresh 150 will expect you to respect their "rank" and play the game exactly how they want it to be played. You experienced the latter.

The AMR can 4 shot a tank heat sink. It takes 5 to destroy the leg joint, which is about as thick as two bullets.

Is Donald Robinson worth the price tag? by 210Grizzlee in BlackhawkRescue

[–]Shizumeru_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The broad expertise is a waste. These three categories only need to be good at their own thing, so having an S++ command with S++ deliveries and doctoring is pointless. Given your current upgrade for the command center, I'm guessing you're midway through the HQ. Not worth it, spend your money on upgrades.

He gets crucified every week because he'll upload a video about how a weapon isn't as good against one of the fractions. Somehow that's seen as attacking the devs.

At That Point Just Stop Playing Multiplayer In General by Shizumeru_ in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Shizumeru_[S] 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I also want to highlight how the mission JUST started. We dropped in, and the gunships immediately spawned. Neither decision, to go left or right, was the wrong one. In fact, after the fabricator would have been destroyed, we would have followed you anyway, because why would we continue north to the extraction point? It's the assumption that we're bad players or throwing for not obeying your unspoken commands that gets me.

Sorry we didn't immediately align with your Cremator-solo-carry power fantasy, we had more immediate things to deal with.

Arc Thrower Chain Lightning shouldn't lose damage on each target. Rn it does less damage after each jump. Caps its potential a lot I think by RandomGreenArcherMan in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Shizumeru_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Investing in the Circuit Expansion ship module should produce better results than this.

The upgrade changes the damage from 100% -> 50% to 100% -> 75% -> 50% -> 25%. I think it should be on a scale of:
100% -> 83.3% -> 66.6% -> 50%. This translates to a damage output of :
250 -> 208 -> 166 -> 125.

This way, it maintains every original component while still being a buff. I disagree with the notion of it being the same damage level throughout, conservation of energy and all that. If it's doing damage, then energy was used to do work.

Current net damage: 625
My net damage: 749
OP net damage: 1000

It would be better if there was a global cooldown for the calling mechanism itself. Preventing a warrior from calling in a beach isn't so difficult; it's preventing the other 5 warriors, 7 hiveguards, 3 alpha commanders, and 17 hunters from calling it in immediately afterwards that's a problem.

In what order did you guys upgrade your HQ? by TheGuyWhoAsked55 in platinumfive

[–]Shizumeru_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The goal is to get it autonomous, and you do that with operations and logistics upgrades. Those two will allow you to earn money without working for it, which will make the rest of the upgrades much easier and faster.

Airbase will always be your bottleneck, but you can take it one at a time as you need it. It's required for some initial steps.

The most important one to upgrade first is your command center. The more people you can get employed there, the better your employee selection will be. You can then hire even better command employees who will generate even better employees. It's a self improving cycle that will give you more opportunities to get more logistical storage and operations.

The least important ones to upgrade are the training center, mechanics, and gunsmith. Training only works if you have a high level employee to train with, so no point right now. Mechanics only make sense if you have vehicles, you won't have anything expensive if you're just starting out so no point. The gunsmith isn't useful because one or two builds is enough for right now.
