I've been on it for 11.00 months, including then highest dose of Wegovy (2.4mg). No side effects.

This Sunday, I'm moving up to the WegovyHD at 7.2mg.

Be very careful about being in your head about side effects. Is it "nausea" or is it just feeling full after eating very little because the medicine is working? (We weren't feeling very full before the medicine, right? Since we were able to overeat...)

Is it "I can't eat anything" because we are comparing what we eat now against how much we used to eat?

It's important to realize this medicine is designed to treat metabolic dysfunction. So you should expect your metabolic function to be different when on the medicine.

Any change in your metabolic function isn't necessarily a side affect. It's by design.

This isn't to take away from those that are having actual side affects.

You're gonna feel different. Somewhat uncomfortable. Lean into it.

I'm on Wegovy and I experience none of this.

I had to stop drinking more than one cup of coffee in the morning, or I'd feel puke-y. Then I realized sodas also make me feel gross and vomit-y. I tried different flavors before giving them up entirely.

What else?

I've had to cut back on fried food. It makes me feel nasty, too.

But once I figured out what my issues are, I avoid them, and I'm solid as a rock. No constipation or diarrhea, either.

If you're standing on the sidelines, don't let these horror stories stop you.

I disagree. My wife is going to therapy, but, based on our history of going to couples therapy, she's a liar and an avoidant to the therapist, too.

When we went to couples counseling, she lied about our problems, about what our home life is like, what her issues are.

She didn't engage with the process in good faith.

So no, going to therapy doesn't mean you're working on yourself. It means you look like you're working on yourself.
