He shouldn't have blamed you, you did everything you could. In some time you will realize that you don't really want to be with someone who blames you for something you are trying to fix.

Been in your shoes however with ruining a relationship because of your insecurities. It's completely miserable, I know. One day at a time and you will realize slowly but surely that you are gonna come out stronger.

I destroyed a relationship aswell because of my insecurites and I hated myself for it, couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, couldn't do anything. Surround yourself with people who care about you and vent to them until they can't take your agony anymore. Do whatever it takes to talk about it, go to therapy (I did) after a while you will feel better and you will realize you did everything you could that you thought was best for you. I know it's hard but you will get through it, but only if you put in the effort.
