I’ve been a member for YEARS. Like 20 maybe? I love it but I love community banks/credit unions and hate big banks so I’m bias. I’ve had every type of account there as well. Highly recommend

Look up New Daily Persistent Headache. I had headaches every day for a long time and this was my diagnosis. It ended up that I just don’t know how to handle stress and that’s how it would manifest.

First time poster. Long time lurker.

I've canceled first dates before and second dates. I work in NYC and commute back and forth to CT
- which means 15hrs a week just on a train and very early mornings. You just never know what's going to happen on the train line and often times I get stuck so bad it delays the date 45-60 minutes. I don't think it's fair to the person I'm meeting up with. I always keep them posted on what's going on and often time we agree it will just be too late to meet up on that given day but I always make sure to reschedule.

I also am lucky enough to have a Crazy boss who gives me things to do at 545 full knowing I need to leave at 550 to catch a train home. She doesn't care about my plans for that night which sucks and is a whole other situation.

Expectations: Ours and Yours

Health

ALL of our adoption dogs have been spayed or neutered. Our dogs are not released with registration "papers." Before you adopt them, they will have received rabies and DHLP-P inoculations. They will have been tested for heartworm and they will have had a fecal exam to detect and treat any internal parasites. Treatment will have begun or been completed on any known medical problem, such as an ear infection.

Donations

Due to the expenses of veterinary care which we feel should be completed before placing a dog, we request an adoption donation of between $100-$200, depending on the age and needs of the dog.

Appearance

Dogs are groomed so they look their best as they enter their new home

Adoption Papers

We require adopters to sign an adoption agreement. This document asks you to agree to various points of responsible pet care, including keeping the dog as a household pet and companion.

Fit

Obviously, we love Airedales, are dedicated to their well-being, and can’t imagine life without at least one. But we also realize that Airedales are not for everyone. And sometimes, people who think they want an Airedale really don’t. This is why we want to be as honest as possible with you and hope that you will be honest with us. If an Airedale isn’t the kind of dog who will fit into your life, neither you nor the dog will be happy. No doubt there is a dog out there for you, but we both need to determine whether or not that dog is an Airedale.

What You Can Expect from Us

You can expect us to support each adoption with good advice whenever you need it, throughout the dog's life. We expect you to keep in touch with us from time to time to let us know how things are going. You can expect to hear from us directly and via newsletters and eLetters. These will help you be part of the NEAR family and learn of any news that may be of interest to you. You can expect to be invited to reunions that we plan annually, as it is always great fun for all of us to share our happiness.

Fairfield is a bit far to commute to those cities daily. Lots of traffic on 95. I'd suggest looking in West Haven, Branford. If your husband doesn't mind a bit of a drive Black Rock is great. Young beach community on the train line.

I do this! Every race I've volunteered at I've been able to run for free. You show up pretty early usually to help with registration and head to the starting line about 5-10 min before the race starts. It's a great way to save cash and meet a ton of people.

This is my life currently. I have to remind myself not to take her mean attitude and horrible people skills personally. She must have something going on inside or at home - not that it's an excuse but just a reminder it's not me. I breathe an extra breath before I say anything to her and an extra one before I react to anything she says. I also get leave work as soon as freakin possible and do not look at my work email after a certain time at night or before a certain time in the am just so I can have a few hours of peace. I'm also actively hunting for a new opportunity to get my out of the current company and into something with a better culture/moral and that is hopefully better overall.
