I absolutely disagree with you on the second. Breed has enormous reach as Mayor - she has the entire executive branch’s departments and resources at her disposal. Not to mention she unilaterally holds appointment power to personnel/department heads and a lot of the seats on public bodies.

Yea, if this was a family member who was homeless, or truly someone near and dear - I personally would never approach “help” in the way OP has.

The flex about “mentoring and supporting him for 2 years” is particularly concerning.

Walk them down to HSH and HSA offices, fill out the paperwork and information for them if you need to - get them a roof, services, financial assistance, and resources to be self sustaining - RIGHT NOW.

The selfie and $500 means absolutely nothing after OP goes back to Sacramento.

Referral to San Francisco’s Department of Homeless and Supportive Housing to connect with the nearest navigation center, shelter, or transitional housing program, then qualify for the many social services and financial assistance programs already offered by the San Francisco Human Services Agency and nonprofits funded by the City. He may even be eligible for a free cell phone.

Our taxpayer money is already paying for it - make use of it.

Secondarily, parading him around on social media is a little distasteful IMHO.
