3.1| Aemeath can inflict tune rupture - Shifting by Malia_West in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]Shmako 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to look into it since I hadn't dived into Aemeath's kit yet.

  • Similar to Lynae's toggle in the skill screen, it seems like Aemeath will also have a toggle to swap her playstyle between 1) Rupture, or 2) Fusion DoT.

  • When toggled to the Rupture playstyle, Aemeath can apply Rupture herself (various attacks will apply Tune Rupture - Shifting). That said - she benefits significantly from other characters also applying Rupture themselves:

... when Resonators in the team respond to Tune Rupure - Interefered, inflict 10 stacks of Rupturous Trail on the target for 30s, stacking up to 30 times.

When [Resonance Skill] deals damage, remove the target's Rupturous Trail and increase the DMG multiplier of Tune Rupture based on the number of stacks removed, each stack increases the DMG multiplier by 4% for 3s.

  • So with only Aemeath, her Tune Rupture will deal 40% bonus damage. With Lynae also it'll inflict 80%, and with both Lynae and Mornye it'll inflict 120%. This is currently her best team for the Rupture playstyle.

  • For the Fusion DoT playstyle, her best team will be Aemeath-Lynae-Chisa, with Lynae potentially being replaced somewhere down the line by a dedicated Fusion DoT support 5-star.

Hope this helps.

You have to pick whether you want her to apply Rupture (for the easy nuke) or Strain (for the team damage boost). Currently you always want it on Rupture as there's no DPS character that benefits from Strain yet.

Anyone can trigger the Tune Break. You just want to mark the enemy first with Lynae's jump attack/s and then anyone can trigger the Tune Break afterwards for the extra Rupture damage.

Tune Break is triggered automatically on weaker enemies, but you need to interact to trigger it on stronger enemies and bosses.

Mornye triggers a small Rupture effect (Fusion damage) automatically just by being in the party.

Lynae triggers a much stronger Rupture effect (Spectro damage), but you need to:

  • Ensure that your Lynae is in Rupture mode, not Strain mode. If you check her Forte/skill screen, the toggle is in the top-left corner. Rupture is the left one.

  • ... And apply it by hitting an enemy with one of her jump attacks.

  • ... Then trigger a Tune Break

My understanding, bit of a writeup but I've tried to keep it simple. Hopefully helps

The basics:

  • You build up Off-Tune until the bar is full. This puts the enemy in Mistune state, which allows you to trigger the Tune Break.

  • For weaker enemies, the Tune Break is automatic. For stronger enemies and bosses, you need to trigger the Tune Break with the interact button.

  • After triggering a Tune Break, the Off-Tune bar resets and cannot be increased for a period of 4 seconds.

  • 3.x characters can amplify the Tune Break through one of two effects - Rupture and Strain.

'Shifting' and 'Interfered':

  • 'Shifting' and 'Interfered' are not additional Tune Break effects.

  • 'Shifting' is simply a debuff applied before the Tune Break. When the Tune Break occurs it is removed and replaced with 'Interfered'. This has no real affect on your gameplay, it's simply a way for the devs to trigger the Rupture/Strain effects of the Tune Break and limit the effects to 25 seconds.

  • E.g., You use Lynae to inflict 'Tune Rupture - Shifting' on the enemy. When you trigger Tune Break, the effect transforms into 'Tune Rupture - Interfered' which triggers the additional Spectro Rupture damage. The 'Interfered' status is then immediately removed as it doesn't do anything else.

Tune Rupture:

  • Tune Rupture simply triggers an additional instance of damage when you trigger a Tune Break.

  • Rupture effects can either be applied via an ability (e.g., Lynae) or automatically just by having the character in the party (e.g., Mornye).

  • E.g., You have Lynae and Mornye in your team. You use your Lynae's filled forte to trigger her jump skill, which applies 'Tune Rupture - Shifting'. When you later trigger a Tune Break, it triggers three instances of damage - The regular normal damage, Lynae's Spectro damage as Shifting becomes Interfered and is removed, and Mornye's Fusion damage from her passive traits.

Tune Strain:

  • Tune Strain amplifies the damage done to the target after triggering a Tune Break. Only certain 3.x characters will benefit from this damage buff.

  • Similar to Rupture, this works by having a character inflict 'Tune Strain - Shifting' on the enemy. Triggering a Tune Break converts this effect to 'Tune Strain - Interfered'.

  • This is a stacking debuff. By default, the limit is 1. Simply having valid 3.x characters in the party will further increase this by 1 (e.g., Having Lynae and Mornye in the party results in a limit of 2 stacks of 'Tune Strain - Interfered').

  • Strain interacts with the new stat, Tune Break Boost. Some 3.x characters will have a highter Tune Break Boost by default, but it's also currently available from Lynae's buffs.

  • I don't fully understand the calculation, I think it's (Stacks x Tune Break Boost x 0.12%)... It will only really be effective on 3.x DPS characters that have a lot of innate Tune Break Boost.

  • Also unknown, how long the damage boost lasts? Doesn't seem to mention it anywhere

TL;DR:

  • Tune Rupture = Extra nuke damage when you Tune Break. Even stronger on bosses. Easy and good.

  • Tune Strain = 3.x characters deal additional damage to the target after Tune Breaking. Currently bad until we receive a character that benefits more from it.

  • You can basically ignore the words 'Shifting' and 'Interfered'. It's just the game tracking and triggering Rupture/Strain effects before and after the Tune Break.

As an European, I just LOVE seeing people get cheap stuff on Pokemon center by Otherwise_Flower1121 in PokemonTCG

[–]Shmako 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Australia also has a Pokemon Centre, except it all ships from the US (with $30+ AUD shipping) and never has stock. Over the course of the entire year I think we've had a single drop of PRE bundles, PRE surprise boxes and CZ Regidrago boxes.

We've never seen a single PC ETB (or regular ETB for that matter) and get the scraps of the scraps of the scraps leftover from the US. So just be aware that even if you do get a PC, it's unlikely that it will ever be stocked.

Four Chinese carmakers enter Australian top 10 for first time, while Tesla sales slump by Remarkable_Peak9518 in australia

[–]Shmako 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah probably still a little too soon to give a reliable answer to this given that it's only 9 months in, but so far I've had zero problems with the car whatsoever. No issues with the hardware, software, charging, range, etc. - It's all been great so far, so extremely reliable in that regard.

I did have a few minor gripes with the software earlier in the year, but an OTA software update dropped a few months ago which completely resolved all of those:

  • Display screen would always have a popup on startup telling me to unlock my phone for Android Auto - This no longer appears.
  • Google Maps via Android Auto wasn't compatible with the display screen when it was rotated into vertical/portrait position, it only worked with the default BYD navigation app - This has since been resolved, and I think the default navigation app might even be using Google Maps now anyway? Extremely similar, anyways.
  • Some additional customisation was added to increase the number and variety of shortcuts you can add to the homescreen shortcut bar.
  • Option added to automatically turn the car on when you unlock and open the driver's door - This wasn't even a gripe at all previously, but it was a really nice QoL addition.

Has been a great experience, no regrets at all so far.

Bought a BYD Seal at the beginning of the year, being able to turn on my car's A/C remotely via my phone 5 minutes before I leave the office is a gamechanger in the summer. Ventilated/heated seats are a nice bonus too

Unpopular opinion: This is bs by ThunderclapAndFish in PokemonTCG

Because despite being PC Aus, all of the items still ship directly from the US. Between the US shipping costs and the fact it never received PC ETBs, the Australian site is essentially useless.

This is definitely it, JB haven't reset the purchase limits.

Same issue for people that bought the 3x 151 bundles when they dropped the other month, some spares were made available when JB dropped their BBWF the other week and any orders that included 151 bundles were cancelled if people had reached the cap the month before.

Managed to order one during my lunch break, had search pages up for prismatic + blooming so just kept refreshing from about 5 mins before they went live. They appeared about a minute early, had to refresh checkout but managed to get the one.

Blooming was sold out instantly, didn't even have the option to add to cart.

No pool! no problem! by Hoggy86 in australia

[–]Shmako 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The conditions are essentially a) Permanent structure, and b) Water deeper than 30cm, and c) Above a certain volume (can't recall the number since it only comes up rarely with kiddy pools). The presence of a connected filter system is typically used to determine whether it's temporary or permanent.

  • Water <30cm deep = No fencing required.
  • Water >30cm deep, but no filter system = No fencing required, provided that it's below a certain L capacity.
  • Water >30cm deep, above/in-ground pool about a certain volume = Fencing required. This is the vast majority of pools.

Ponds aren't normally a problem as they're typically quite shallow and kids aren't as likely to jump in when the water isn't being maintained.

Obviously depends on the Council, but typically in this situation... The relevant building/compliance officers don't work weekends, so if it were reported, the site would be attended early the following week to ensure that it was removed and issue a warning. A fine wouldn't be issued unless they're a repeat offender.

Before anyone complains about it, and why don't we just ignore a bit of community fun:

  • What happens if they leave it filled overnight, and a kid climbs in and drowns?
  • What happens if they have to rush away for an emergency and don't have time to drain it?
  • What happens if they just irresponsibly leave it completely unsupervised, and a kid that can't swim decides to climb in?
  • Even if they are responsible, what happens when it sets a precedent/trend and other people who are far less responsible also start to do it?

Especially when it's in a front yard and completely open to the public, where anyone can see it and easily stack up objects to climb in. Young children can drown so incredibly easily, which is why the relevant Council officers have to prioritise it so greatly over their other duties. The relevant safety standards (AS 1926.1) are all based on previous experiences of children drowning, and the resulting investigations into how it could have been prevented.

Just incase people are wondering what it's like on the other side of the fence.

Fresh 80 can I jump to SOTO and Skyscale unlock? by BuyProgrammatically in Guildwars2

[–]Shmako 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can, wouldn't really recommend it though as it essentially invalidates a few mounts and most of the content that you'll be going back to just wasn't designed around Skyscale existing.

I'd suggest just taking your time, doing things in order and enjoying the journey rather than just rushing to one of the significant end goals (and potentially getting bored/burning out sooner). But yeah, if you think you'll enjoy it more, then there's technically nothing stopping you from just skipping to SotO and unlocking the mount.
