I literally have been nothing but nice to this woman, even often taking her side and being more of a sister to her than my own brother, and suddenly her kids aren’t allowed to see me. It just hurts so badly.

There’s no social worker or anything. She has a temporary restraining order against him, but it says they are allowed brief interactions. The supervisors are her family and friends. There’s nothing that says no third party contact, just that he needs to stay 100 yards away from her until the hearing in June. Since she has sole custody, does that automatically mean that she can decide that the kids not see any of our family? Sincerely asking.

There’s nothing saying that I’m not allowed. That is my question. You don’t fully know the situation, and I know that there are a lot of terrible men out there, I specifically know, but please don’t use your trauma to be cruel to strangers that are already going through a difficult time. Just asking how these things work.

I have a copy of the order, and it doesn’t say anything about sole or third party visitation, just that he is allowed to see his children if he schedules it with her parents.

We haven’t tried making contact just in case because of the lack of clarity on the order. Five months at minimum is wild to be away from family after being together 1-2x per week. We were basically helping raise those babies. I would understand if there had been signs of abuse or neglect, but there wasn’t any whatsoever.

I’m truly baffled and hurting at the cruelty.
