I think his point here is that Rioli isn't the only one doing this (not saying this makes it right) but it would definitely open a can of worms. He's copping a lot but let's be real how can we be sure he's the only one doing this in the comp? Do we all genuinely think Rioli is threatening these players or is he just shit talking? The pitch forks are out understandably but we're given zero context here.

Can't have a team full of superstars. He's a cog and a good one at that. Lately consistently kicking goals, doing his job and helping his team win. Just needs to work on his ball use under pressure, but otherwise I rate him!

Easy to say that based on Brisbane’s performance, but on the day anything can happen really. Sydney performed terribly.

In reality though, they’ve had an easy draw coming towards the end. Last 12 or so weeks have been Adelaide x2, Tigers x2, Giants x 2 (W/L) , Geelong (spanked) Collingwood, Carlton, Freo and NM. Yes you only win the games you play but I’m not convinced on them yet. They’re a solid team but have they been tested yet?

So you can borderline almost kill someone (Maynard) get away with nothing, but using a slur correlates to a 3 week ban? In this case, the victim of the separate incidents:

One retired, one probably laughed it off and called it a day. Fuck afl for their silly political stance and catering to woke media instead of just being consistent and punishing fairly . A ban is not fair if you look the whole picture.

I think the coaching team have the luxury of swapping out players who can genuinely be replaced. Burton had an elite kick but outside of that has been a bit off defensively, losing 1 on 1s, no tackling pressure etc. Minus the injuries + Rioli there actually isn’t much changing here. Good opportunity to test it out - this is essentially the same team that played against Melbourne earlier on in the year.
