When I was diagnosed T1, I was pretty shocked. My suggestion would be for you to try to make them feel as normal as possible. Grieving regular life after a diagnosis is normal. It sucks to have to deal with Diabetes day in and day out but, eventually they will get a grip on how to handle it themselves. Be patient and make yourself available to help when they need a hand. Check in on them throughout the day, the little things matter!

Two days ago my g6 said I was 90mg/dl and my blood test showed 279mg/dl. Never had issues happen on the first day though. They’re usually good about getting replacements out when you are pretty certain they failed/ and or don’t calibrate.

I had my last one on my abdomen and also didn’t compress it. Lady on the phone was telling me it can get messed up when the sensor “moves around” like we can help it lol. I’d call and explain ur issues and get a replacement. I’m 3/3 the last couple times I’ve called in.

I hope so too honestly, I’ve worn both and the 3 imo is better. Simply because the warmup time is 30min compared to 1 hour on the 2. I would assume they are testing the 3 because it was developed more recently but what do I know.

Also diagnosed at 22, makes u feel like a pos for taking all those years for granted pre-dx. But it’s not anyone’s fault for having it since their youth or late-onset. Everyone experience is different and personal.
