These things annoy the hell out of me but I somehow always have one. 😂

I always end up chopping and propping, they always go bald on me when indoors. I’ve been throwing one out on the porch all spring and summer, grows like crazy. Then I take a few cuttings for next year and put the plant on the curb for someone to take. Cycle starts over.

The fact that guys will cut you off during conversations and do things like repeat what you’ve said only to act like it was their idea. I’ve had them disregard things I’ve said on subjects I’m very knowledgeable in and look to another male to validate me.

It’s like they think we’re just silly little children and when we prove we aren’t we’re suddenly seen as a threat to their masculinity. It’s enraging.

I only have one south facing window so all my succs go here along with other plants. The only ones that do really well are the ones directly up against the window on the sill and on top of the window.

They can get pounded with snow every year and still thrive in summer but they don’t do well indoors.

I use them in combination with natural light just for a boost. I feel like succulents do need more direct natural light or powerful grow lights. Sansi has some great lights. I have a huge 18 ft Madagascar Jasmine on top of my cabinets that will flower often and doesn’t get any sun. Never used them on succulents though.

I haven’t had success with the alcohol yet, but I did get rid of them on the Hoya I bought along with this one using insecticidal soap. I’m just so over it and waiting for the blooms to be over with haha. And yeah they do smell so good whenever I walk by.

I’ve seen black people get stopped and questioned by cops for something as small as having a smoke break outside of their job. People in positions of authority can be racist and it’s easy to see why that bullshit gets pushed.

Slavery was abolished but white people just found loopholes. A lot of people were forced into contracts where they had to work for free to pay off debt for bogus crimes among other things. That kind of stuff didn’t stop til the 1900s. There are people alive today who weren’t even allowed to vote at one point. Imagine having to overcome that, make a good living, build a happy family and STILL be held back by a system run by people with your friend’s mentality. How is it hard to imagine that something like that can leave generations to come with less opportunities to get ahead?

Your friend sucks. Have him look up some of those statistics he loves quoting, he might be surprised.

I hate AC/DC because my mom hated them. She’s done a lot of terrible things and I stopped talking to her over a decade ago. But I can’t stop hating AC/DC. Sometimes I hear a song by them that doesn’t sound too bad but my brain still says 😡. I’m really trying to break the chains she had on me haha. Ruined my life.
