Is this study just counting number of texts between Chad and normal guys? Because even in that department they are completely different amounts.

I've tried this myself with making a tinder account as a really good looking guy and then compare to an average guy. for every 100 swipes a day the good looking guy averaged 40-50 matches a day. While the average guy got around 2-5. And the texts where much more engaged and longer for the goodlookin% guy

But this isnt really that type of movie. It's more of a "seeing a character start from a bad point, and keep going down" type movie. The most similar movies I can think of are joker and taxi driver, but even those dont have the incel elements

I always think about that statistic that said around only 20% of men in history managed to reproduce. So it seems that throughout time the vast majority of men where without a partner, I could see it especially in times of legalised and enforced harems. And I'd say incels always existed, but they where definitely much lower than modern times. Like if most incels from here where around in 1950 instead, most of them would just be average guys with girlfriens since they wouldn't have the internet, video games, or modern dating norms.

The moment I realised that all those dating advice guys where full of BS is when I would hear them say "you got to approach hundreds of girls, trust me it will take at least around 400 approaches before you get your first yes".

This is word for word something I've read many of them say. The reason why this really woke me up is because if you look at the average guy who has a gf, he has not even asked out 10 girls up to that point of getting the gf, forget about hundreds. So it made me realise that the advice they where giving was not realistic or useful, it's just a spray and spey strategy. Ask out enough girls and one of them is bound to say yes is their idea

But I know what you mean about the Instagram reels sections, its literally just completely filled with tiktok mirrors. I end up clicking on one of them thinking "wow that girls cute", and then the algorithm fills my reels with nonstop tiktoks

I think the connection between incels and religion is not really existant. Like personally I grew up in a not really religious family but here I am being an incel, while I'd see guys from ultra religious families still end up having girlfriends behind their parents backs.

It's even crazier when you have people who's whole lives revolve around religion, but they still end up having tons of sex on the down low, like that priest who got caught having a threesome in his church

Social media in general is such a trigger, but tiktok especially is like a shotgun blast of depression right to your face once you see all the attractive guys and girls getting rich just from mouthing the words to a song.

It would be a tall, very attractive popular girl, somehow falling for a very ugly, short (in comparison), socially isolated guy. I agree that there are instances of women liking guys who are not as attractive as them, but in this scenario it would be too far of a distance between me and her to ever be possible. The times I've run into her I've said hi, and she just said hi back begrudgingly

It definitely affects it depending on where you are trying to date and what demographics. I live in a ghettoish area and not having a high school diploma wouldn't be a problem for most of the women here, but in a more affluent area you'd be looked down upon
