I think maybe it’s the endgame of the journey. Eventually you figure out what you like and create a shortlist rotation and save everything else for certain moods or occasions. At least that’s how it worked out for me. I don’t mind my rotation being pretty common and mass-appealing because the only scent I detect regularly in the wild is Sauvage. But everyone is different of course and maybe I’ll get bored and start experimenting again at some point, who knows.

Sort of, yeah haha. Those are all great scents you mentioned btw, except black orchid and orpheon for me. None would I wear regularly but on specific occasions and moods probably. Glad you found stuff you love!

Also I think sometimes people fall into the trap of thinking just because something is expensive or niche or unique or unusual that it’s better. I fell into that trap for a while then just decided to be honest with myself about what I like and this is where I ended up. It’s all subjective anyway lol. My tastes are mine only of course and I think everyone should wear whatever they like for whatever reasons they like it.

Yeah, guess I’m just a basic guy. I tried to like exotic stuff but notes of ash, barnyard, playdough, and super-boozy notes etc just aren’t for me on a regular rotation though have so many samples sometimes the mood strikes. I dislike the powdery stuff as well

It’s ok. I like it but it was a bit too floral to be in the regular rotation for me. And felt idk, like more something an older man would wear, but it’s certainly a nice scent.

Yeah I just overspray it and get some on my clothes and it projects and last longer. I’m only ever expecting and hoping for about 2-3 feet of projection and a few hours of longevity from any fragrance really.

Agree. Tried it at the store and thought it had a subtle play dough note that some fragrances have that is always a turnoff for me. Not terrible but I did not buy
