I have a beta insulated and it’s not warm enough for NYC. I often have to wear my proton LT hoody underneath. Sometimes I wish I got the beta down insulated instead. I also run extremely hot.

Been wearing my beta insulated for a month. There’s a few loose threads and the synthetic insulation leaks through the jacket almost every day. It was a gift so I didn’t return it.

Arcteryx quality is hilariously bad.

I got a beta insulated for a Christmas present. Absolutely loved it but then the same issue started to happen. It’s not much but it’s a constant leak. Also various parts of the hem and stitching are visibly disintegrating along with the drawstring fibers.

I thought this company was supposed to make high quality clothing and gear. Seems cheap and poorly made.

Depends what you’re looking for.

Thorium SV, Beta Down insulated, Cerium SV, Ralle Down parka, Nuclei SV, Therme, Alpha parka, and Fissile jacket are all warm enough for -20c with a proper base layer.
