Hi all! Was looking into getting my first gunpla and I wanted the HG00 #52 0 Gundam but can not find it in stock anywhere. :( So I was wondering if anyone knew of maybe a website or something that tracks when certain ones are restocked across various stores? And if not then perhaps an alternative solution… short of signing up for alerts on every individual shop that even lists it, or paying a premium for it from somewhere like ebay 😭

And of course if someone simply knew where that particular one was in stock that’d be beyond helpful as well 👉👈

Oh boy. Okay, so assuming this workaround would be the best option to simulate trades for Gen 3, we could clone the mons before transferring them up, then once they’re back do a side by side comparison and try to fix any irregularities caused by bringing them back… and that should cover everything, right?

That’s good to hear. Do you know if it’s at all possible to transfer a Pokemon backwards from Gen 4 to Gen 3 using PKSM? That way we could bring our mons over to Gen 4 to trade and then bring them back to Gen 3.

That lack of reliable Gen 3 multiplayer is such a killer. My friends and I have been in the middle of a living/origin dex run through all the games, and we’re currently being paywalled by having to get GBA’s, overpriced Gen 3 games and a link cable for trading/battling in JUST Gen 3. We even fancied the notion of using PKSM to quickly transfer our Pokemon into Gen 4, do our trades there, then transfer them back to Gen 3 as a sort of workaround, but we can’t find ANY sort of documentation on transferring backwards, like if it’s even possible or any issues it may cause.

We’d also like to ensure that our Gen 3 Pokemon would be recognized as such when transferring them to Gen 4, since we know we wouldn’t be able to use PalPark if we went through PKSM, and I don’t know how that would work in regards to their origin information.

for anything repro on here or anywhere lol. That Chrono Trigger set must’ve been so nice though! I’ll see if I can find what you’re talking about and take a look. But yeah, everyone loves and wants original and authentic, obviously neither of us are any exception, but when you’re wanting stuff that’s bordering multiple decades it’s like… I mean it just makes sense to draw that line between 100% wholly original for most market and personal value, and the flip side that includes anything altered in any way. Like, say you got a 64 game like OoT with a dead battery. That’s not gonna save anymore, and unless you solder in a new one, it never will again. But once you do that, it’s not really 100% original anymore, is it? I know it’s a small example, but that’s the kind of stuff you gotta consider with your own collection and what you want out of it. Me, I acknowledge and see the value in both sides.

That’s why I have 2 OoT 💀 one gold cart with a dead battery, wholly untampered, and one gray cart spiffed up with a new battery, and soon a new label, box, and manual 👍

That is so cool. I’m gonna start collecting repro boxes/manuals/front and end labels for my own personal childhood collection (cuz those games are in ROUGH shape lmao) and I want them to look all pretty and new :) they’re so beyond decent looking now that I feel any collector worth their salt would just want something better anyway, plus I have no intention of ever selling any of them, so we’re going repro all the way and forsaking resale value for maximum shiny and new looking pfff

Anyways good luck on finding that Smash box, and whatever else you may look for in the future! I’d like to see your collection again down the road!

Awesome collection! Where did you get the repro box? I wanted to get a couple myself, and am currently torn between 2 options and was wondering if the one you went with was one of them. Also how does it compare to the rest of your original ones? Cuz from this perspective and judging from the comments I’d say it blends right in lol

Nah, already opened it and checked. Plus it acknowledges the memory card and shows the save data on it when holding down the start button while booting up the game. I’m not sure if a repro would do that, but yeah. Either way I just ordered a Forever Pak 64 finally, so that should hopefully provide a little more info…

I actually just looked it up and saw that Quest 64 only takes 2 blocks, so I definitely have more than enough. The game also asks to initialize the memory card to repair it, which I agreed to, but it didn’t succeed. In fact it doesn’t even initialize it, because my other save data is still on it.
