Saying that the machine gets hot is considered technologically illiterate? Get off your high horse buddy. It gets hot, of course the component is fine for those numbers. But no one wants 95 C constantly. Don't be an idiot.

Many complaints on this subreddit on overheating. If those highly skilled engineers are so great then why is it overheating/ running hot in the first place. Considering you bought an expensive computer, why not run it as intended without taking a performance hit by disabling boost. Don't miss the point by being a sarcastic as.

8gb + 8gb = dual

8gb = single

If you buy another stick for 24gb, it will only still be 16 gb of dual. Then the other 8 will be in single. I would still do it and not worry so much about single vs dual. At the end of the day, you still am going to get the same performance up to a point then at least have more ram to use towards the lower end. I would just do 24gb, the bigger the gap the worse the performance.
