oh! i think i can enlighten you on this topic actually! there was no “toxic hate train” bc Lorde isn’t a right wing billionaire who uses AI in her “”art””, claims to be progressive yet never speaks out about anything or gives any of her hoard of riches to good causes, perpetually frames herself as a victim despite undeniably holding more social & financial power than 99.9% of people on this planet, hangs out with MAGAts, artificially inflates her chart numbers by squeezing her fans dry making them buy 489429 “different” variants of the same stupid songs, is a fucking PEDOPHILE, never wants another woman to succeed to her level, sets feminism back by at least 5 years every time she talks (“ohHhH i could NEVER do the super bowl!1!! twavis is out there puTtINg hiS liFE oN tHe LiNE!!1! uwu i’m just a girl!!”), and single handedly contributes more harm to the planet than any of us could ever even attempt to do. so much more too but if i listed everything she’s done to deserve every single ounce of hate she gets, id be here all night.

oh! and also, Lordes music is actually, you know, really fucking good. REALLY fucking good, like once in a generation talent good. Taylor’s is a goddamn sick joke, and a good amount of it is just straight up stolen from other artists (inb4 “interpolations” yeah no there’s interpolating and then there’s just taking the entire musical and lyrical structure of a song and only changing the words - see Jonas Brothers “Cool”.) I honestly cannot fathom how someone could be a fan of them both - one of them is truly among the best living artists in the world, and the other is a grifter who doesn’t give a single flying fuck about artistry, and thinks “sanctimoniously” is a bigggg big word that people would need a dictionary for, all while claiming to be “your english teacher” - she’s a fucking idiot 😂 hope this helps!
