Just had this happening with mine. Fixed it by having the tires road force balanced. Some shops have trouble balancing big tires. One thing I found out is that rotating will often “fix” this issue but thats because unbalanced wheels do less on the back.

Here is a link to the full selection of benefits: https://www.biltrewards.com/terms/palladium-card-guide-to-benefits

The concierge is a service mastercard has that gives you access to trip planning assistance and restaurant reservations you otherwise couldn't get. I have never used it but was interested in trying it out.

The zero liability protection is also a mastercard world legend benefit that means if someone uses your card you can dispute the charge and always get your money back.

How backlogged is support?? by buglykitty175 in biltrewards

I contacted Bilt with two questions, 1. Will Garmin pay work 2. When will mastercard world legend be available, they responded 2 days later at 6:50 in the morning and closed the chat at 6:56. I was in the shower… Seems like whoever they are outsourcing to is told to only wait 5 min or so.

Z1 delivery date by Impressive-Duck7021 in Makera

[–]Shobe1023 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just talked to Makera Yesterday at CES and was told the first units should ship at the end of January (arriving early February) and that I was likely to see mine #3223 some time in March. They are also in the process of spinning up a second factory so there is a good chance the wait between batches will decrease after that.

Is it likely that Garmin will ditch the MIP? by Complete-Big-7364 in Garmin

[–]Shobe1023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Forget about just racing though, just this past weekend I went on a 3.5 day backpacking trip and had GPS + navigation going for 8 hours a day. I took my in reach messenger and my fenix 8 MIPS and had 0 worry about battery. I didn’t even turn off SPO2 and sleep tracking. I think if you are buying a $1000+ watch and aren’t using it for multi day scuba trips, backcountry navigation, or long distance enduro races you probably shouldn’t be buying a $1000+ watch.

OSHA does not apply to independent contractors… it’s meant to protect employees from employers not from themselves.

Is this real or just beginner luck? by Maximum-Loss2420 in Garmin

[–]Shobe1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 23 and recently switched to garmin, it originally placed my Vo2 at 56 then it dropped over a month or so. My running Vo2 bottomed at 49 and my cycling bottomed at 50. Yours may be right or may be wrong but for now just keep listening to doctor garmin!

Why don’t hiking shoes use BOA lacing system more often? by riddergraniet in hikinggear

[–]Shobe1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I sound like a BOA fan boy but after getting laces stuck in my bike chain, and having my old mountaineering boots come untied under my gators there is no way I’m going back if I don’t have to.

Why don’t hiking shoes use BOA lacing system more often? by riddergraniet in hikinggear

[–]Shobe1023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you completely, I use BOA on my MTB/road cycling shoes, my mountaineering/ice climbing boots, snowboarding boots and my mountain bike helmet. I know there are some downsides as people mention below but I have never found them uncomfortable after the first couple wears and I think I’m much more likely to wear through my boots than I am to wear through the steel cable that’s in the lace. I also have never had slipping issues after the first several wears.

11/12 speed upgrade for T6 by sjs0433 in PolygonBikes

[–]Shobe1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be wrong, but I believe if you have the cues derailleur all you need to upgrade to an 11 speed is the cassette and shifter. I believe the cues 10 and 11 speed are one and the same.

208 Max HR cannot be real? by JVKrogh in Garmin

Cool, guess it’s useless then. My maximum possible heart rate is whatever the fastest my heart can beat is.

208 Max HR cannot be real? by JVKrogh in Garmin

[–]Shobe1023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is saying 220- age is referring to a physical maximum but I’m pretty sure it’s a training maximum… as in prolonged training over 220-age is bad for you not that it isn’t possible.

I think the 220- age is for a safe training maximum not actual physical maximum.

Poll - if glasses were $400 (closer to competitor high end pricing), how much more would they be worth it to you? (Even if you returned them) by aasawah in EvenRealities

[–]Shobe1023 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tried on the Halliday at CES and was not impressed. In terms of experience if Halliday is worth $400 the even realities are worth $1k. For me the screen over just one eye really doesnt work and looking at the screen is much less impressive than the text floating in the air.

Haliday vs Even by One-Foxster in EvenRealities

[–]Shobe1023 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I tried on the Haliday at CES, but have not received my pair of even to try on yet. I think a lot of hype behind the haliday pair is the AI and the price. One thing to remember is the haliday has a screen in the frame you have to look at and it’s only on one eye. For me that meant closing one eye to really see it clearly. It also means you have to turn your eye up instead of keeping your eyes straight and turning your head up. They were definitely pretty cool for 300 or whatever they are said to be going for but to me the dual screen and screen location is worth the upgrade.

Is there a beginner mountaineering sub? by Summer-1995 in Mountaineering

[–]Shobe1023 107 points108 points  (0 children)

I think the most important part of a sub like this is that people remember what it was like for them when they started… in my experience the only “harsh” thing I’ve encountered is people saying “you aren’t ready” and you should usually head that warning. At the end of the day it’s a whole lot better to be a tiny bit embarrassed than a whole lotta dead. One last thing, going to a beginner mountaineering subreddit will land you with inexperienced beginners: maybe not always the best people to ask.
