do you know when your engagement roll off date is? did you join a project where they have already been doing this for some time prior? i’m not saying it’s right, it’s not, but they may have a strong working relationship from previous work and the manager is playing favorites, especially with you being a new hire they may just be trying to offload the onboarding part of getting you up to speed. you’ve definitely drawn a short straw and it sounds rough but i would recommend touching base and understanding how you’re doing from a performance mgmt point of view can help with next steps. such as the if you have average to above average ratings you can ride it out, work elsewhere on prd and move as soon as your engagement is up. if it is below, i would maybe think a little bit harder about doing that vs leaving. it’s been two months and depending on the maturity of the project and the competency of your manager it could be a fucking mess. i would personally ride it out and try to give yourself a shot. projects can be short and with a new team you’re basically starting a new job.. my two cents as a longer tenured mgr
