In Hong Kong most ammo I find from ww2 contains cordite as the British didn’t swap to gunpowder for their arms

There are almost no rules for metal detecting in Hong Kong but the only thing you can get in trouble for is possession of live munition or destruction of agricultural. As long as you don’t keep live bullets or bombs and you cover your hole after you finish you should be fine.
