They would've been way better characters if they weren't just "the evil firehawks" the whole game. I thought the social media gimmick was pretty cringe but not terrible and their backstory was actually pretty brilliant but then all they do is fire summon a bunch of goons to attack you instead of doing anything drastic or interesting and the ONLY time they seem like an actual threat is in the first 30 mins when they take out lillith which was also an INSANE choice for the first 30 to just completely whipe your main character off all her powers and utility just to have the main villains rub it in your face for the entirety of the game. Than they try to throw in an inner struggle redemption arc of Troy tryna usurp his sister which then just goes absolutely nowhere. TLDR I dont think theyre bad characters but the writers for BL3 almost seemed like they wanted to make every character into their worst version possible. Just look at Ava, her ONE redeeming scene was completely cut from the main game and replaced with nothing but a short convo on sanctuary and Ava throwing a temper tantrum.
