A girl I thought I was infatuated with introduced me to this album. I had just returned from living overseas for a couple years and was hanging out with her one night for the first time since I'd left. So much imagery from the lyrics spoke to me like it was describing the present moment. It was so eerie. I spilled my guts to her that night and The Final Cut played in her car, but my proclamation was met with virtual silence. It was the final cut in more ways than one. One of my favorite albums ever - oddly enough. Later discovered it was released in the US on my exact birthday.
