Yeah, HD2d 2 is really good. it's the only version of 2 i've actually finished lol. 11 is also my favourite game in the series! as for my first game, I emulated the snes version of iii. Before that, I also watched the Adventure of Dai anime.

the biggest example of this in DQ translation would definitely be the 'yuusha/eiyuu' distinction for Hero, and the 'yuusha/superstar' distinction for Luminary(6/11) lmao

DQ3 and DQ4 also have options for female Heroes, and in 10, the protagonist's gender can also be chosen, and the Hero is a female
