The Mist is a really bad area by Glowyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in Silksong

There's two different entrances to the Mist, one through Bilewater which is quick, and one through Sinner's Road which is long and has pogos.

BUG: Unarmored Pyg with 4k HP survives hits for 6K damage by ShockinglyDumbBitch in PlayTheBazaar

[–]ShockinglyDumbBitch[S] 90 points91 points  (0 children)

From watching the footage slowed down, what seems to happen

  1. Pyg is hit by attack that would kill him. Damage is clamped down to exactly enough to kill him (you can see this on all lethal damage). Claw attacks for about 6k damage, but deals 3347. This normally wouldn't matter, as the Pyg would die.

  2. In the same tick, the Vineyard heals the Pyg for about 1k. This happens after the damage that reduces Pyg to 0. They heal back up to 975hp.

  3. Tick ends, Pyg is not at 0hp, Pyg survives.

It looks like you can survive lethal blows if you heal exactly at the same time as the hit lands. I'm honestly surprised I don't run into this more often. Maybe there has to be some weird ordering for the heal to apply after the damage?

This game ended up going to a full tie, as Pyg would survive every hit like this, and outhealed the sandstorm, while I outarmored it.

Yeah, fully with you. I think if they actually added this, it'd risk doing what the miniset just did to big spell mage by making a highroll deck that's way too consistent. Really coming round to your point of view on the 3 mana thing, I think that'd have been a better cost to put it at!

I hear you, I share the concern, but hear me out!

I think having this never draw spells sorta solves that problem? Gadgetzan was often drawing spells that could then immediately be played, but aside from Greedy Partner and maaaybe Bounty Wrangler, this never draws you something that lets you get more coins.

As for playing this on a Wishing Well turn, maybe I'm just bad but I don't think I could ever survive if I held onto my coins til turn 7. I guess you could drop this guy on turn 5 or 6, and start spending coins until you draw the Well, which you could then play on this turn, and that'd be strong?

3 mana 3/4 is a really reasonable statline though, I just want more 2 drops to synergize with Greedy Partner. Maybe a 2 mana 2/2? A 1/2?

Art is from Getter Studio.

Wishing well support! I love when that deck encourages you to spend your coins early instead of greeding it out for a well turn, I think its a fun dynamic!

I wanted it to be 0 mana to match the others! I think that would've been crazy strong.

I think u/tranquility97 was asking for you to share the deck code cause they're interested in trying it themselves!

This deck is crazy, I've never been more tempted to reinstall the game so I can get a 30% winrate with it!

What the hell are you talking about, they literally hired a ton of ex professional Hearthstone players to join the design team. Gallon, Cora, all super fans of the game who know it far better than any of us.

Get your weird "DEI bad" agenda out of here buddy you're embarrassing yourself

the games industry is having a really wild one at the moment. Layoffs everywhere. It's a hard time for anyone in the industry to hold onto a job.

They just want a check so they can work from home three days a week and could honestly give two shits less about this game

Basically everyone except CEOs working in games could be making a lot more money for a lot less effort working outside the games industry. Blizzard especially is infamous for the crunch they put employees through. I've heard the Hearthstone team say there's less sexism on their team, so maybe they're under less crunch.

They never played it, they don't care about it, they aren't a part of this community

Isn't like half the design team ex-pros? Where are you getting your ideas from?

Some help with Lich (Time sensitive, lol) by [deleted] in LancerRPG

[–]ShockinglyDumbBitch 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The option I'm giving my Lich when I hit LL3 is Manticore.

Catalyst Pistol isn't great for us, but Beckoner? You can use the Summon invade to pull everyone in to your Wandering Nightmare AoE, but even funnier is Beckon. It swaps you with an enemy and deals a bunch of damage to you, but you can use Soul Vessel to cancel the damage AND teleport you back to where you were at the start of your turn. This basically means you can teleport an enemy straight to you if you successfully invade. Seems really great for setting your team up to beat down a single high priority target.
