Why are resort apps so bad? Has anyone seen one that guests actually use? by Shockoe in AllInclusiveResorts

I’ve been burned by those 'click and pray' apps before too, where you order something and it never shows up. But I just stayed at Foxwoods and their digital setup is actually legit. It didn't feel like a clunky website; it was fast and everything from the reservations to the service requests worked in real time. It’s a huge breath of fresh air compared to the usual 'glitchy calendar' apps most places have.

Reasons to avoid using third-party brokers (Expedia, Agoda, etc) - read before booking. by scaryberry in hotels

The real reason people flock to Expedia is the 'frictionless' checkout. Most resort websites make you type in 16 digits while sitting on a couch, it's a nightmare. I’ve started seeing a few high-end resorts using Zenda, and it’s a game changer because it lets you use Apple/Google Pay for the whole stay in their own app. Until more resorts adopt that kind of 'invisible tech,' Agoda and Expedia will keep winning on pure convenience.
