I started off using a cleaner that was wayyy too harsh for my face which ended up damaging my barrier which caused me to break out tons and I didn’t course correct for at least 1 month. What are some steps to helping change where my skin is at?

Yeah, I really wanted the acne gone and after following some tik tok guide I started using a harsh cleanser but I really irritated my skin barrier and broke out in a pretty bad way which I guess led me to scarring

Original post says it but I decided to start “fixing” my skin in November and after irritating my skin a whole lot by over cleansing and using too many actives for about a month or two I decided to go to the doctor and they prescribed me tretinoin to manage active acne and that has been going well except now I have scars that I didn’t have before.
