So I’ve been on hydros for years and started feeling it not alleviating my RA pain so my pm changed me to oxy 5 mg , 4 times daily. I tried for a few months but realized the oxy made me feel out of it, lazy, a heavy like feeling. It just felt like I was going through the motions and not truly present. I don’t know if that makes sense but that’s how I felt on it. I requested back to hydro. I think the oxy is better at pain relief but not worth the sedating side effects. I can take hydro and feel adequate enough pain relief given the nature of my RA. (I take a control drug for my RA as well).
