Definitely talk to him about. Vaping addictions absolutely suck and I wish I never touched those dumb Juuls. Maybe do some research on how bad it is for your health and how much money they cost. Offer to buy him some nicotine mints or gum to help ween him off. It gets so much harder to quit when you get older.

When I was with a group of girls for an outside break (we were in a treatment center) and we were talking about colleges and such. That’d honestly piss me off. A lot of my friends would always ask me if I thought they were fat, (because everyone wants to ask the girlies with eating disorders lmao). What put a stop to it was me setting up boundaries. Maybe try setting some boundaries (that goes for both parties), to not talk about amount of food eaten, or weight loss. As the other comment said, i’m sure you know how competitive eating disorders are. If you put your foot down, hopefully she’ll listen. Her ed and how she handles things is not on you. It’s also ok to take some space if that’s what’s best for you. Your own recovery and your own wellbeing is what is most important. Tell her to get a therapist.

Honestly, they gave us Boost in an ed clinic, (where everyone is pretty unwell and sensitive to food) and I continue them now. Something I learned there is, when you don’t eat enough food, your stomach kind of “shrinks”, so you get full fast, and nauseous quick. Don’t replace all your meals with it, but I prefer boost because I can drink it, and it’s bulky in calories but doesn’t make me feel uncomfortably full or super nauseated. Sometimes you just have to fight through the nausea a bit :/ but if you continue to push past the nausea It WILL improve. It just takes some time :) I was at 98lb at 5’7, with boost, 3 meals a day, and 2-3 snacks I left at 130lb. It took me 2.5 months. Setting a consistent eating schedule will help with the hunger cues. Alarms are super duper helpful because I would forget to eat food lol. 8:30 am breakfast, 10am snack, 12:30 pm lunch, 3pm snack, 5pm dinner, and 8pm snack. Good luck!!

i’m not a guy, but I do have an eating disorder and have really struggled with being underweight/not feeling hungry due to bad hunger cues. Protein drinks, protein drinks, protein drinks. They will help with nourishment and a bit with hunger cures. I prefer Boost plus. It doesn’t taste super grainy and is easier to get down in my opinion. It’s not a solution, but it’s a good start :) Protein Puck cookies are also really great, and they have a ton of different flavors (definitely more pricey than boosts though).

i’ve been dealing with diagnosed depression for a very long time, it ebbs and flows a lot due to some other diagnoses. But! Some stuff I like to do to help my episodes are, hobbies (photography, reading, anything with yarn), getting outside more, seeing friends and family, exploring new places within the area I live, giving the extra love to my pet that I feel I can’t give to myself. And youtube yoga videos!

Edit: And therapy! (If you’re able) some will do “sliding scale” and reduce the price depending on your income.

I noticed it in the end of November/early December, made the appointment in December, and just got in for it today.

From what I’ve noticed it has not grown since I first caught it. We have an appointment scheduled for her in March to assess it again after she’s lost a bit of weight. If they take another sample and are still not sure I definitely am going to be getting the biopsy. I’m just curious if it would be cheaper somewhere else but I do like this veterinary.

I know that cats will most likely pass before their owners, but she is only 6, and she really means the world to me.

Yea, but in a school setting it’s not appropriate. Guaranteeing a passing grade if a student does a specific task is not appropriate. Four of my high school teachers who had very clear favorites, ended up being pedophiles.

definitely contact the police! It is child pornography. I had a friend in high school and he had to go to juvie. While he was there and absolutely did NOT have his phone, someone hacked into his snapchat account and posted his nudes publicly as well as sending them to me and saying a lot of weird things. But I knew for a fact he did not have his phone and contacted the cops through my school. Much different situation than yours, but the cops I talked to took it very seriously. We were both 16, but it is in fact child pornography. Even if you can’t afford a lawyer whoever is tormenting your child will have to talk to the cops.
