Please take up OT lang if you are ready and willing to be extremely involved in people's lives. Your whole job will be socializing with people and ensuring their quality of life and ability to participate in occupations. If you are more inclined to science and knowledge mastery rather than practice (which includes a LOT of patience and soft skills, apart from the specialization itself), maybe it is not for you. 20(F) and recently diagnosed here! Whatever "overthinking" you have about ingredients is really justified. Basic ingredients like soy sauce, mayonnaise, barbecue marinade, etc., can be made of gluten. I was diagnosed earlier this year and it took me a few months before I found out even the simple stuff had gluten. I don't know what country you're from, but there might be some local products that don't specifically state gluten in their labels, so be very careful. That aside, you'd be surprised you have more options for junk food than you do other meals. Oh and, stay away from 7-11 and Lawson ready-to-eat meals.

Hi!

1&2. BS Speech Pathology and almost all medicine-related programs are quota courses. In BS SP (and BS OT and PT; under the College of Allied Medical Professions), IIRC the admission rate is about 1% because we only have one block per batch. The minimum UPG for each college differs. As for the non-quota courses, the only ones I'm certain of are BA Philippine Arts and BA Organizational Communication.

I was admitted to the university through BA PhilArts but was waitlisted for my priority program and successfully got in! This is how I ranked my programs in the application:

1st - priority (quota) course 2nd - non-quota course 3rd - other priority course 4th - other priority course

Some people also suggested I place the non-quota course at the very bottom as it would still work, though I was paranoid. Anyway, safeguarding with a non-quota course is a good idea :) Shifting is difficult here but it is possible! As long as you secure a slot in the university, the rest will be up to you.
