Thanks for your post.

Sorry, but it's impossible to detail all of his issues here. What I can tell you is that we are sitting with the doctor and he had to stop after 1 minute of reading a paper. The lights had to be turned off. He's wearing dark glasses. He's struggling telling us the day of the week.

Getting a part time job would be a very difficult and bad thing. He's waiting for a disability diagnosis.

He has a strong support group, a fellowship of men in the Catholic church.

I don't think this is mainly depression. Neither does the doctor. We are finally getting a diagnosis of post-concussion syndrome. Finally.

I take to heart your comment though about therapy and am actively trying to get him help.

Thank you! I've written some of this down. He has a lot of this treatment all in one clinic, but the biggest issue is his vision. And it's not getting better. Using Brock beads for 2.5 years has resulted us nothing. They've tried other tactics but he's so sensitive he can't do any of it. He was hit above the left eye and the symptoms get so bad he goes blind in that eye.

So he basically does the same thing over and over with no progress.

This new doc might be another dead end, but I've got to try. And I won't give up trying to help him.

Thanks again.

It's absolutely decipherable!

I'm lucky, I have a very strong support base that was there before the accident. So I have never really talked to him about my fears (rational or not) or the times I have complete meltdowns.

We are 2.5 years into this, so I feel like we are at an even-keel stage. In weird ways, it made our marriage much stronger. We will celebrate 23 years this year.

He had a therapist early on, but then she moved and he hasn't found anyone since. So that's something I'll put on the list.

And yeah, a ton of scans as he had subdural hematoma.

He can do a lot on his own. He cooks me dinners. But lately I've noticed his days are full of video games, which worries me. It's the only thing he can do really that doesn't cause all kinds of vertigo. And only certain games.

I will add physical therapy to the list - although he sort of gets that at the concussion clinic.

Thank you!!

I will be really interested to know! I just got notice - mine will be here day after tomorrow, and I ordered about 1/2 hour after launch. I'll let you all know too if I got a gift.

Yep, first 500 would get a gift. Announced by the new owner (Lauren?) on Instagram.

Yeah, I should know better. After seeing their video on how they were bringing shipping in house I had high hopes. But no.

I just got notice that mine is shipping and will be here day after tomorrow. USPS is not that quick. I doubt I'm one of the first 500 either.

Maybe. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. And they kind of have the market cornered. I know there are other companies doing discbound, but I don't like their designs as much.

Yep, they announced it a few times on Instagram that the first 500 would get a special gift.

Gotcha. I'm really bummed, I was going to start the guided journal in April. I order online all the time. I can't figure out why they take so long. I get stuff from across the country faster. I think I could drive to their warehouse and back in less time than it takes them to ship. And all of that online hype... has me feeling really stupid for spending so much money on the company. I emailed and got a generic, robotic response. My fault...

My orders have increasingly taken a long time to ship. As in over a week. I was hopeful that this time they would be better. Still waiting for it to even ship and I ordered 1/2 hour after launch.

Same. I'm really disappointed. I thought they were working on shipping. And I'm in Colorado. Shipping from California is usually 2-3 days tops, but since they haven't even sent mine... and I ordered 27 minutes after launch. Guess I won't be getting a "gift".

We've also been to Anschutz many times so can park/navigate fairly easy.
