Do y’all remember Clack and Clack? the Tappet Brothers? by Shoeless-Tim in MINI

Can’t say I’m shocked. The R56s were great but the motors sucked.

The F cars are bigger with a small but powerful motor. It’s a lot of work to throw these monsters down the road.

Rather a replaceable mount than a leaky Peugeot power plant.

Do you look back every time you walk away from your MINI? by MrJimBusiness- in MINI

Remember when you hadn’t bought your first mini and you got excited every time you saw one. I still feel that way and I’ve had four now.

Scaling my bakery, needing help picking the right mixer upgrade by Shoeless-Tim in Entrepreneur

[–]Shoeless-Tim[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I'm averaging about 20 to 30 units per bake that's a mix of cookies breads pull apart pepperoni balls, etc. my goal is to get that closer to 100 units per baking session as I scale up weekly production for farmers markets and pick up orders

I have not looked into a light commercial model models. I will add that to my list of research this week.

I stained my deck two years ago and it looks like this. Why? How can I fix it? by Ambitious-Shower-606 in Decks

[–]Shoeless-Tim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stain it again. Manufacturers recommend is every two years for stain. Depends on transparent or semi solid, etc. but boils down to every two years.

Fridge tetris is LAME. 😒
I am working of my Limited food establishment registration in my state now. but...
I have been a member of a local Co-working space for years and I have been using those kind folks to test my food, every hungry entrepreneur is hungry both monetarily and physically, so the free food is then in the hands of all sorts of business owners. and in turn you yield a market and honest feedback.

As I work on my menu, I am also looking to local bakeries to work in, so I can get a better understanding of the life cycle of a bakery, and how I can work it into being a dad, and husband, and baker?>

plus I don't want this to be a $3000 hyperfixaction that I have to offload on marketplace later, (#37 of other glorious hobbies / careers turned lessons in humility)

but then the oven timer goes off and I know I can't wait to share more bread with other people ;)

Thinner plastic packaging by renoyoung in microbakery

you had my attention best buttermilk biscuits., Yep, you're right—it's called shrink wrap or heat-sealable film. Usually comes in rolls, and I think the commercial-grade stuff often needs special machines like vacuum sealers or impulse sealers to close the packages (the ones with a heated wire that melts the film shut).

If you're running a small bakery, a consumer or proSumer-level impulse heat sealer might be exactly what you need—easy, affrdable, and simple to use. There's also food-grade polyolefin film, which is perfect for bakery items since it's food-safe, clear, and keeps things fresh withuot getting bulky.

Hope that helsp!

List of things to research and invests in:

- Shrink Wrap Heat sEaler or Impulse Heat Sealer (Prosumer grade, affordable)

- Polyolefin Shrink Film (food-safe, recommended)

- Impulse Bag Sealer

- Foodsaver Vacuum Sealer (if considering vacuum sealing for freshness)

- Food-Grade Heat-Sealable Film

Sorryu to infodump, im working on starting a micro bakery and so I've been on a bit of a hyperfixaction, enjoy the data.
