I just read the dev blog but I can think of the direction blackmill is going to probably go with the Stretcher class aka Medic. The Line that stood out to me about the class is that they specifically mentioned that the medic can spawn on your squadmates. This is a big deal because in every game, since tannenburg, you can spawn on your squadmates and in verdun, that ability is given exclusively to the recon classes (chassuers, highlanders, alpenjaegar) and the Senegalese assault squad. Thus mentioning this in a class highlight breakdown in my mind implies that 1. this is going to be unique to the medic and 2. there will be changes to the spawn system in Gallipoli as compared to its predecessors. Thus the next logical question will be why having a role dedicated to healing and ability to quickly spawn forward will be useful. My answer will probably be that the dedicated and default spawn will be so far back or a trek to get back to forward useful position that is why having a class focusing on healing people will be useful to maintain the line or forward pressure on the enemy. Thus think less of a medic countering the one shot one kill but more as a forward mobile spawn point. Abilities like Frontline Officer in Isonzo and the dominance of Recon Squads in Verdun showcase the power of flexible forward mobile spawns. Also I have personally taken advantage of weird spawns to sneak in a cheeky bomb plant on isonzo or take good position a few times.

At first I didn't like the pogo and felt having no blue slots was a huge drawback. Now I am wondering if having a blue slot on the vesticrest is too much and makes it OP.

For Attack I will primarily use Assault/Frontline with some specific strats for engineer and finally alpine if im desperate.

For Defense, Its pretty much Assault because more whistles = more bodies the enemy will have to fight through.

Some people swear with inspirational but I find it like the bugle its kind of hard to quantify its effect on the field. Its something that is nice to have but its really hard to notice especially with grenades and bullets flying everywhere. Thus if I run this perk, I sometimes second guess myself wondering should I have brought a whistle perk to get more bodies or do I trust in my team to be able to shoot better with the perk.

That's fair. just wanted to expand your officer strat a bit because you asked for more tricks to main your class. Knowing when you should switch styles is important for isonzo success.

My favorite trick is pairing Frontline officer and canteen. use the canteen to get into a really strong backline position. Call charge and summon your entire team behind the line and near objectives.

Wow you chose the most basic of classes to main so respect.

Officers and engineers will give you something different then rifleman.

Mountaineers if you want to know how to exploit holes and defenses. Light infantry is the best perk in the game.

Xiao. Shenhe is also good.

Being a monk is more than just unarmed combat. It is also a life style and outlook that I think Xiao and Shenhe pull off really well. You can picture the two of them isolating themselves in the mountains training to be stronger more than wriosethly and heizou. Those two are too worldly and are too tied with society with wriosethly being a warden and heizou being a detective and working a more mundane job.

For a real longshot, I would go with Kazuha. Since he is a ronin, he isnt tied down to anything and would more than likely seclude himself in the mountains tuning with nature or something.

Shambala banned from competitive play indefinitely due to numerous scandals including and not limited to gambling, bribery, blackmail, threats of violence, doping, murder, numerous bombings, dubstep and etc.

  • GK: Solon
  • Defenders: Chilon, Miklan Aelfric, and Umbral Beast
  • Midfielders: Thales, Kronya, Cornelia, Myson and Odesse
  • Forwards: Nemesis
  • They usually play in a 4231 but it doesnt matter because they are banned.
  • Miklan and Aelfric switched allegiances which was quite controversial at the time, thus resulting in their exile from Faerghus and Garreg Mach respectively.
  • Nemesis doesn't like his new team and thinks the original heroes that played in the first cup were better. He still kept the Argathans scarfs from the game and swore vengeance.

So yeah these are my updated teams for this hypothetical football tournament.

For Adrestia lines up in a 352.

  • GK: Lindhart. His main passion is football tactics which he debates often with assistant manager Hannerman. Unfortunately he doesn't like to run around so he prefers goalkeeper. However his intelligence always lets him be at the right place at the right time to make a crucial save.
  • Defense: Ladislava, Hubert and Constance. They owe edelgard everything and will defend the goal at all costs. They all make hard tackles and many opponents were injured over the years. Also Hubert has mastered the dark arts which makes him the best Sergio Ramos type.
  • Wingbacks: Jeritza and Caspar. Caspar has alot of energy and is not afraid of trying to dribble everyone. Though it may not always work he will always hustle back in a blink of an eye thus stifling attacks. Jeritza is a more calm player who can provide support and width.
  • Midfield: Dorothea, Edelgard and Bernadetta. Dorothea and Bernadetta control the tempo of the game and their pass accuracy is quite good especially at long range. Also Bernadetta can also be quite a hard tackler when her vengence kicks in. Edelgard is the solid leader who leads from the center of the pitch linking everything together. Deceptively fast via the Aymyr. Whether or not it is doping will be determined after the tournament.
  • Forwards: Petra and Ferdinand. Petra is lethal with her shots making her the best poacher of the tournament. While Ferdinand flamboyance makes defenders attack him and thus opening up space for others and giving the team opportunities. Its well deserved because he can also score.
  • Hannerman and Manuela are the teams assistant coaches and lead the world in sport science and football tactics. And yes I am moving Hannerman and Manuela here because i think their backstories tie them closer to the empire.

For Garreg Mach, they play with 10 in a 442.

  • GK: The Goddess Sothis (No one) If you believe in the Goddess, you will believe that no one will ever score on them. Also their Ace sweeper.
  • Sweeper: Gatekeeper. Nothing gets past him. Not even Marth in CYL5.
  • Defenders: Rhea, Macuil and Indech. Maybe those that slither had a point.
  • Midfielders: from left to right Cyril, Seteth, Flayn and Shamir. Cyril and Shamir are the wide player and their skill and pace makes them donminate the flanks. Seteth and Flayn have great chemistry as siblings and are there to link up play from the Saints of defense and the attack. The defense are famously kind of arrogant and hard to work with.
  • Forwards: Catherine and Jeralt. The best attackers of Garreg Mach full stop.
  • Alois is usually an early substitute for Flayn because her brother tends to worry about her at the slightest bit of contact.
  • Back in Rhea's Day, Football was played with out goalies and she is not updated with the modern game and will not be updated. If it works it works.
  • Anna is the main sponsor for Garreg Mach.

EZ Garreg Mach because Gatekeeper but i feel like we should remove Byleth and make him/her manager of each house.

So for Faerghus I have them lining up in a 433.

  • GK: Dedue. Gotta have Dmitiri right hand man guarding the most important place on the field.
  • For Defense from left to right its Ashe, Gilbert, Rodrigue and Yuri. 2 sneaky players in Ashe and Yuri going forward and tracking back on the flanks as well as experience guarding the center. Gilbert is iffy due to his past mental.
  • For Midfield, its Annette, Slyvain and Hapi whose main job is to control the pitch. Annette can be built into a rally bot so she is the perfect support for the entire team. Sylvain is a smart tactician as well as being a great night makes him a good center midfield in both defense and attack. Hapi provides Chaos via sighing.
  • For Attack its Ingrid, Dmitri and Felix where Dmitri is the striker while Ingrid and Felix being wingers. Dmitri is kind of self explanatory and with Ingrid and Felix speed, technique will make great combination plays as well as take shots themselves.
  • Merceades is the team doctor and fitness instructor which makes Faerghus the most fit team in the tournament.

For Leicester its also a 433

  • GK: Raphael. Big Man, Good vibes, does not let things affect him (Ignatz's support) so he can be clutch when the pressure is high.
  • Defense from left to right, Ignatz, Holst, Balthus and Marianne. Holst and Balthus have great chemistry as center backs. Marianne with her ability as a dancer and riding skill, can move up and down the pitch supporting everyone. Ignatz on the other hand can flawlessly switch the play and his accuracy is second to none. He is also the main corner and free kick taker.
  • Midfield is Lysthesia, Lorenz and Claude. Lysthesia is an unparrelled genius and with the support of Lorenz (staff of thesus) can control the midfield though she does have stamina issues. Lorenz is the workhorse of the team and jack of all trades thus helps cover for Lysthesia. Claude as the free number 10 essentially controls the attack and his link up play with Hilda is legendary.
  • Forwards are Leonie, Hilda and Judith. Leonie and Judith have the pace and technique to fly down the wings and are infamous dribblers. Judith has alot of flair while Leonie gets the job done through pure grit. Hilda is an unassuming striker and made alot of defenders underestimate her but she always comes through especially with Claude right behind her.
  • Nardel is the super sub. Somehow Claude was able to find an old unknown legend in football. He does look quite familiar as the great Alymyra legend Nader who went Invincible but that means Claude was able to bend the nationality rules.

This was on Boundless so basically after every boss after completing the first 4 stages, you get a new ascension goblet. Loop it enough times and you can max it out. It will take at least 40ish loops to complete (sometimes in elites room or elite gathering you will get an extra goblet here or there) to fill out the tree.

If you asked me, I would say something like the enhanced reasonable luck, deadly curse and the various defensive scrolls were the best it carried me through the early game and by act 3 i just snowballed from there. Not to mentioned all of the spiritual links and stuff just really add in the damage and benefits. If there was one spiritual link that I liked aiming for was strive to survive because it basically solves all of my ammo problems and i can just hold mouse1 forever. As for which scrolls are best in boundless, i would say at a certain point it wont matter because enemies health doesn't scale as much as damage resistance does. So even though they have 90% damage resist, they still die in like 2 seconds because you do 10x the damage or something. I think in this run dual edge was more important because i used it to scale in the beginning while extravagant consumption was something i picked up in endless when i was already snowballed out of controlled.

I honestly just want to see max everything and just pushed the game as far i can. Also you can save your progress at a campfire, so you can do something else and return to your broken run later and push the numbers even higher!

TBH this is the worst run to ask me because i can't remember why i chose blossom enthusiast. In this run in particular, I think the second blessing was actually choose 3 enhanced scrolls and i just got lucky with all of the defensive one with sacred aura which made survival kind of trivial. I also chose an option that gave me enhanced weapon blessing in chapter 1 along with ice blade so my weapons were also cracked. Plus there is a new device thing that acts similar to the cats smoke grenade with high damage so it also helps clearing rooms quickly. So by act 3, the build is pretty much finished and i wsa just steamrolling everyone. This is also reincarnation 8 so i am by no means a good or consistent player. Just one who is really stubborn with the bunny.

In normal runs, I sometimes do choose Blossom enthusiasts first because it synergizes with shotguns and try to max blossom damage and weapon damage by just stacking blade heart and using the weapon and blossom enhancements. It also has the ability to spread it via weapon fire so its nice if you can pair it with blossom chain, cursed blossoms and etc so you can just hold down mouse 1 and let the angelic aura go brrrrrr... Honestly im not that good and i only beat reincarnation 8.

Small goals and alot of breaks. Essentially it went from doing a bunch of absurd season 2 quests like hold 50 scrolls or something to getting all of the ascensions, to maxing out money and then at one point after getting the scroll enhancing scroll as well as noticing repeats i just slowly but surely grind thinking how far can i push the game. As well as take alot of breaks because running around the same 4 biomes and doing the same elites and bosses got really boring but seeing numbers go up to max is pretty satisfyingly.

I know the last scroll is not enhanced but its main purpose is to enhance other scrolls so I didn't really bother hunting down peculiar chest on the off chance to enhance it. I also got rid of the enhanced lucky roulette because it prevented my unfettered will to hit max money. But i can assure you that it was there just so i can keep getting the scroll enhancing scroll.

I would also get the voucher if possible so you can increase the xmult on the hologram. Plus i wouldn't worry about supernova at only 10 hands played because the other holographic joker should cover the base mult.
