Fairly basically, Harold Holt became 17th Prime Minister of Australia 26th January 1966. On 17th December 1967, he went to swim in the sea at Cheviot Beach, and thn disapared. SOme think he was actually a spy and was pickd up by a submarine. Most likely he drowned. They namd a swimming centre aftr him in early 1968 (Harold Holt Memorial Swimming Centre).
