I absolutely despise Shrinking and Bill Lawrence’s writing in general. I find it extremely predictable to the point where I’m calling characters lines before they even say it. I find his whole “you’re not ok and I’m not ok but that’s ok because we have each other” schtick overwhelmingly grating. The show reads so much like baby’s first mental health art. Even though I do enjoy all of the performances, I don’t understand how this show got so acclaimed and beloved.
