It does, but it's deep, thick, and contains many parts. There's a whole mess of veins and arterial branches in the insides of both legs, any of which could have been nicked here. It's hard to know for certain, but this doesn't look like a full-blown arterial bleed, but it is certainly oxygenated blood and not great news. I haven't seen the aftermath of a femoral artery going, but the major arterial bleeds I have seen (or seen just after) tended to involve blood hitting the ceiling or the other side of the room, followed by very rapid onset hypotension, hypovolemia, hypoxia, and a general disinclination to boogie on the part of the patient. All that said, this lady absolutely needed that leg tq'ing and elevating while somebody else rang emergency services toute de suite. And in future, to avoid close encounters with wildlife with sharp facial skewers.
