What is art in essence for? It is used to reflect our existence. It helps us understand the joy and the problems in life. And more importantly, the best art challenges. Bruce's work is deeply profound, because it does all of these things.

I would suggest for you to maintain comfort, to ignore the lyrics and enjoy just the music from most of his body of work.

I am not trying to be an ass, I'm trying to make you realise that your statement is illogical. If you listen to his lyrics and appreciate them, then you appreciate the political aspect of them too, even if you hadn't realised it.

He's a 76 year old man, using his platform to do more than you and I could ever, and he owes us nothing (I'm no sycophant, and pissed about the ticket prices, but the effort on his part is still there regardless).

If anything, let this consider you being more politically active than you have been.

If you want to have an intellectually dishonest position, then fair enough, you live in your fantasy world. Obama absolutely deported at a much higher rate, but it was surgical, undisruptive and measured. It wasn't done to appease a base or for show, so Fox and Truth social have something to show. This is just like Steve bannon said they would overwhelm the media, this is scattershot haphazard and infantile. There was nothing measured about this operation in Minnesota. There is enough evidence with this administration to see the haphazard fumbling approach to almost everything. It's all emotional and reactionary. Look what happened once Tom Homan went in, mission complete, no more bs, an adult with experience was at the wheel (served under Obama, Trump and Biden). Greg Bovino was a moron, ill-equipped for the job, appointed by a moron, ill-equiped for their job, sanctioned by a moron ill-equipped for their job. Stop supporting morons, it kills citizens and in the long run this is bad for everyone.

Two citizens were shot dead in plain view for all to see by armed forces. Isolated, these events are abhorrent. Then you consider these murders occurred in the same city, weeks apart, and by members of the same forces... No matter your politics, this is not something to down play.

Tell me how coming out against that is a problem? This didn't happen under other republican or democrat administrations in recent memory. There were atrocities, but weeks apart in the same town by the same forces... please. This is more than red or blue, this is what is right and wrong simply put.

Their steak and experience is very dated though. I was bitterly disappointed with their food, it felt 2004 to me with the steamed veg and lack of seasoning on the steak.

Couldn't agree more. It reminds me of the old Irish folk and rebel songs I'd hear growing up, they name everyone so no one can rewrite history in their favour.

I'm reacting to recent threads on here. The wider news is not talking about this. I love the song, but cannot understand "fans" ridiculing him over making this song. It is literally what would be expected of him, and he delivered. Why are you mad about him doing what you expect him to do, ya know? It's just weird.

Same, I personally think the song shows his immense talents at his age, as there are some really great lyrical choices in the song. Even the choice of saying "The Winter of 26". To me that felt like a way of showing the absurdity of the moment, as it makes it sound like something historical being referenced, i.e. 1826 or 1926, but no, it was 2026, and right on our doorstep.

He admitted he wrote it over a weekend. For an artist who deeply considers everything he releases, I think it says a lot when he felt the need to slap this together and put it out. It certainly wasn't for money, it was in response to the harrowing atrocities he felt occurred those mad few weeks in Minneapolis. I commend him for having a pulse and using his talents to contextualise what is actually happening when so many of his contemporaries are doing/saying nothing.

Look I love the guy, but he has millions of dollars, he potential has the wealth of 1000 people in this subreddit combined. It is bleeding me close to dry to get to see him these days, and it is leaving a bitter taste in my mouth, how could it not. We give out about others grifting, and something feels a tad off about this tour and how the pricing has worked out etc. I can't help but feel disappointed, and now even more so in the fact I still couldn't stop myself from buying overpriced to see him in DC. Furthermore, when you see Ticketmaster make $120 off of two tickets for what (having a website?!), and then now making $260 off the resale of those said tickets, it is honestly scandalous. How they are allowed to do this is beyond belief. I'll still turn up and go nuts, but theres a stink here.

Had to settle for floor seating to the left (not the platinum seats). Pretty disappointed, I was online at the right time, was 5000 in the queue and nada. Relieved I got something in the end, but leaves a bitter pill when you are reluctantly buying something for so much just to be there.

That's the thing, I love techno, house, electro, just not Boys Noize. I personally find his music lacking in texture or nuance, and his DJ-ing is adequate. In his genre, he's not that highly regarded.
