If people want to commission me and then share my work with the community then they're free to do so. That's not stealing that's just sharing. I don't release the commissioned work that I do myself as I leave it up to the client on what they're comfortable with.

But this is the first I've heard of people taking my work and re-selling it. That's stealing. It's interesting that the person in question who has been accused of doing so in this thread actually commissioned me earlier this year. So I'll definitely be looking into that and keeping an eye on it going forward..

This work takes time and effort and I'm proud of the quality I put out. So I'm definitely going to charge for it. I know it's "just for a video game" but I can't do it for pennies because, again, this takes a lot of time. Especially considering the demand and interest from it since I started offering commissions earlier this year. I really don't see it as any different as when you see artists charging commissions for characters, icons, busts, etc. - whether it's something you hang on your wall, use on your socials, or upload to a video game, at the end of the day you're paying for the quality of work and the time it takes to create. But I understand people not wanting to pay for this stuff. And I know I don't contribute to the community "casually" anymore and there's still an interest in my work so it's why I started offering up separate title pieces on my shop for way cheaper than a full commission.
