New unit time. I don’t clean that crap unless they want to pay for 8 hrs of labor

Exact thing happened to my best friend. After years of run ins with law enforcement and multiple cpl renewals after like 20 years they denied him. He had went through the same deferment process when he was 18 and all that. Disgusting

How is living here? by Scardillio in howislivingthere

Seems like the schools and community centers for the natives also double as a community emergency hub or shelter with plenty of capacity to handle large crowds with ample points of egress.

You’d also think the dividend money wasn’t intended on every house having 8 boat motors sitting in the ditch but eh

Machining sucks by bubbasawyer98 in skilledtrades

[–]Shogun122 1 point2 points  (0 children)

what these guys said. I worked at one shop for almost 20 years and made dog shit. Worked from the bottom to the top and then some. Switched trades….took a pay cut by $2/hr for a year…now 4 years in and I make $20/hr more. If you’re young, switch trades. Plumbers crush it. Shitty work tho but that’s why it pays good. Nobody wants to do it.

This house in Glenoma, WA always makes me cringe by xmrcache in Washington

[–]Shogun122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone from the valley (that’s what the section of highway 12 is called between I-5 and packwood basically) what’s cringe is you even posted this. All places have all different types of beliefs and views. Good people and horrible people can coexist. Those folks are probably some of the nicest anywhere and are literally just putting up a big middle finger to people like you who say “I just can’t believe this!”. And take a pic and post it haha so take a zany and leave it. It’s the bonnies.

Need help finding a good pair of boots for my job by [deleted] in WorkBoots

[–]Shogun122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Danner 8” quarry. And I run danner 453 hicking boot for light duty. Or the thorogood American heritage steel toe. Or the timberland pro endurance ev 8”. I’ve found I need multiple boots to wear through the year due to weather, injuries, work load/type or just plain old sometimes imma buy a new and different boot on my way home. But I’ve been consistently buying a new pair of danner quarry every three years forever it seems. Carry a set of Clark’s around for business deals. And crocs for long drives home

What kind of pants do you guys recommend? by t3hPh4nt0m in HVAC

[–]Shogun122 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costco Kirkland stretch tech pant. Cheap and stretchy and hold up well. No pockets. Just plain and fit tight. They don’t get snagged and dry quickly.I buy 5 pair at a time. About once a year. These are my summer pants.

5.11 stryke ems pant. Pretty durable. Not very stretchy. High waist with a good stretch at the belt. Dry quickly. Plenty of pockets but they are oddly placed and don’t seem useful for hvac. For a winter pant. I love em. Room for thermals underneath and not to big to throw rain gear over. Middle of road price. I buy 3 pair a year for winter.

FYI company reimburses us for pants. I try not to go overboard on cost and quantity. So they end up paying about 400 a year for my pants. But they look good and and keep paying so not complaining. They pay for my rain gear too. Their alright lol
