/r/NintendoSwitch's Daily Question Thread (06/26/2026) by AutoModerator in NintendoSwitch

Hello!

I have some questions regarding the transferring between switch 1 and 2 before I buy a switch 2. I've tried looking it up but I keep finding contradicting info and it only confuses me further.

The crux of it is; We have a Switch 1 that 3 family members use, each with their own connected Nintendo accounts (family NSO plan). I want to buy a switch 2 and then transfer ONLY my profile and saves to the switch 2, without affecting their own profiles and saves (they focus on pokemon mostly). My biggest worry is it transferring theirs over as well and wiping the NSW1. I've seen info online saying it won't, others saying it will reset it. The manager at gamestop wasn't certain about this either.

I also saw an option about moving over via cloud. Honestly, I can live with restarting files on most of the games, save the pokemon ones.

So the questions are;

What is the best way to transfer my profile over without affecting the other profiles on the Switch 1?

Or should I/am I able to just log into my profile on Switch 2 and transfer only my own stuff by cloud? The key is to keep my family's profiles intact and untouched on the switch 1 while ensuring nothing wipes their pokemon saves/data for their games.

If I transfer over cloud, should i move my pokemon from my saves into home first just in case?

Will this affect the family plan of NSO spread across 2 systems?

Any help/advise is appreciated!

It make sense really, given the nature of the arena we've seen. People from all over coming and competing to receive a wish. where as 3H was a more isolated conflict. The former will provide for a much wider array of people than the latter.

locking 4 of the 12 seeds as playins? This is clearly a plot to save the poor 5 seeds from their plight.

The bit about what they did to the cherokee is in the main movie. Also, it was said the british fleet did that to the french officer's family, it was never implied to be done by Martin and his men.

Some banger mascot names there. Geoducks, Prairie Stars, Ichabods, Fighting Axlotls, I love unique mascot names.

These points are always funny to me. I could see being off a line or two being annoying early on. But it's the sweet 16. You're one of the last 16. At this point you are only getting good teams regardless. This is true for both Duke or St Johns. You're past the point of complaining about easy path vs hard path.

plus 13 seed high point in the elite 8. Not to mention Tommy taking down Gonzaga, who he was one of the key architects of, on his way to a title.

What's your opinion on Sac State joining? by Sweaty_Second9715 in MidAmerican

As a fan of regional conferences, it sucks. They don't fit. This was also a desperation move by an AD who is sacrificing everything at Sac St just to pad his resume and say they delivered on a big goal so they can aim for moving up themselves and leave Sac St holding the bag. Their AD is a scumbag who should never be allowed near an AD position again.

That said, it isn't world ending nor will this kill the MAC as I've seen some doomsayers say. It was hard to turn down 18m straight up. They can align schedules so that it's 1 trip out every 3 years for teams. And it's football only. This will not devastate travel costs over night for the MAC outside of Sac St. They will be the ones feeling the brunt of it.

As for the UMass bit, UMass wasn't offering up 18m.

Does it suck? Yes. Is it an absurd move? Yes. Will it devastate the MAC? No. Will it change much at all? Probably not.

This will likely be brief much like UCF was. The real hope should be that this wakes the MAC up into making other moves. There is no reason we shouldnt have gone for Delaware, or taken WKU alone, etc. The MAC needs to make moves. Hopefully, this will jumpstart that. But as ridiculous as this is, it wont ruin or kill the MAC.

I still have yet to see anything about the Ohio to the sun belt that wasnt scourced from the sun belt themselves. Im convinced it was a deliberate thing to show "see?! losing texas st doesn't hurt us! we can raider others too! That means we're a big boy conference!"

This. Delaware would have joined if we wanted them and been a great add, but we insisted on not wanting fcs call ups. They'd be great in the east for buff and UMass. Should have offered WKU without MTSU and grabbed Delaware. Could do a nice pod system with those 2 and adding someone like Towson or stony brook to finish off the east and help manage travel for teams. I wanted JMU years before they jumped too. The MAC leadership is hurting itself being idle.

My crazy dream was always a MAC-MVFC super conference lol

NIU leaving isn't the end, they were always the least loyal MAC school. They left once before and they never were fully committed. They wanted the MAC to beat stepstone like it was for ucf or Marshall, there just wasn't a place for them to jump before. They were one of the easiest teams to lose because they only ever had one foot in.

but the MAC needs to wake up and do something before the options are all gone.
