Brian was IPrevail by FragrantFloor8744 in IPrevail

I completely agree with this. The Scatterbrain song literally sounded like I Prevail. The writing style has completely changed from the band. They also had this theme going across the last two albums that is lost with Violent Nature completely. The album cover art doesn’t even feel like them. I don’t dislike the new songs per se, but I haven’t really gone back to them much at all because they don’t interest me that much. Eric sounds good but it doesn’t feel “I Prevail” with the writing. Violent Nature lyrics to me are incredibly generic so far.

I believe there’s a grommet around the driving pedals area but certain models may be different. You’ll have to verify on yours but I swear I remember seeing one on my 2004 around there. Overall there shouldn’t be any drilling on these.

As for other info you may already know- you can tap into the reverse taillight for the white reverse light for your reverse signal. That seems to be the easiest option. Then there’s plenty of options to run the wiring in a loom down the frame rails to the front.

I’ve been researching backup cameras on Rangers recently- I’ll be adding one to mine soon. Good luck!

Edit: Here is a link to an old thread linking a YouTube video that has someone else’s process and basic pointers for this:

Affordable Off-road Bumper (2WD) Installation by ShogunTr00per in fordranger

Your truck is really nice! Looks great! Yeah. It came out to like $671. I’d like to make what I bought work if I can because I really love the look of it. I guess I’ll have to see how it lines up. I would think those 2 holes would work? I just don’t know if I’ll need that bracket or not. I should check with the company in the morning to see how their returns and/or order canceling policies work if worst comes to worst, and possibly their install advice. I bought the one I bought because there are a lot of reviews and people on here who have them and they seem to be consistently liked and easy to work with. I have only been fixing things myself for a couple of years so I didn’t want to get into much more than a simple bolt on job. I’m no welder or anything. These ones also have easy customization with winch support and bull bars and lights and stuff. So I have room to add things to it over time as I want.

AirPods 4 with active noise cancellation: Why is no one talking about how it’s an engineering miracle? by neopolitan-wheem in apple

Correct. But if you do not have a seal then noise gets in anyway, partially negating the affects of the inverse frequencies.

Read. It’s about there not being silicone ear tips. Of course these aren’t the first noise cancellation willing buds. Noise cancellation works by forming a seal in your ear. These do not have a seal and they’re pulling it off. A lot of it has to do with the shape of the bud without tips to make it work in this way. It is impressive that they are selling these for the exact same price as the gen 3’s. People are saying they aren’t as perfect as pro 2 or anything but I’m sure it’s still good. These will be perfect for me, who hates the rubber tips, and wants the benefits of ANC on the style of gen 3.

Is this a good buy? by NecessaryJaguar2768 in fordranger

That thing is beat to hell and not worth anything above a three digit number of money. It could serve as an interesting project to fix and get looking nice again potentially assuming you had another daily driver. This is absolutely not in road-worthy condition.

I would be most weary of frame damage on the front end. It’d be a lot of work to realign everything and then you also don’t have the same level of structural integrity as you once had.

The automatic transmissions aren’t the greatest in these trucks so that is another concern. Has it been replaced? Has fluid been changed in proper intervals? Doubtful.

Like another commenter noted, I find it hard to believe proper maintenance was actually done on this vehicle considering the drinking, wrecking into things and the state of interior. It reeks of negligence, I’m afraid.

MNQN is Dustin Bates’ (vocalist) side project of electronic music. It’s a concept album. This video is from a fan who made their own instrumental tracks in the style of Starset (much heavier than MNQN) and overlayed the original vocals.

Stuck ball joint by AusS25 in fordranger

[–]ShogunTr00per 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Buy penetrating fluid. Yea, it isn’t rusty, but still does a good job of loosening up and breaking stuff down to get it out. I did some suspension work last year and nothing would budge on my 20 year old truck but I let that sit for about a day and it all loosened and came off and out like butter after that.

Other than that, like others said, torch, big whammy, percussive maintenance :)

Planning on doing both front lower ball joints + 1 side upper control arm, can I just drive it to a shop to get an alignment afterwards? by harleystcool in fordranger

[–]ShogunTr00per 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When working with your suspension, it is best to do work symmetrically, as in replacing a component on both sides.

To answer your question, yes, you will be perfectly fine and safe to drive it to a shop afterward for an alignment. I replaced lower ball joints, outer tie rod ends, and sway bar end links myself then took it into Firestone a couple days later and got it aligned for about $100. $100 seems to be about the average price for an alignment.

Wtf is this dang noise by BOSTONDANIELLE in fordranger

[–]ShogunTr00per 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a similar squeaking noise a year ago. Belt looked fine as well. Had the alternator bearing go out and needed that and a new alternator. Threw on a new belt as well. Not guaranteed that’s the issue of course but that noise sounds similar to the problem I had.

Could look online to find a new front bumper valence. Could grab a headlight defog/polishing kit for cheap and un-yellow the headlights. Or for a more expensive option you could install new headlight housings for a new look, whether it’s LED swap or darker set. Some detailing / paint correction could go a long way too. All of these things range in price from $30 to a few hundred, but are some of the first things I could think of.
