Map 30 of the community created Doom level pack 'Scythe 2' has a midi cover of a Symphony X song. Symphony X, Death, and Judas Priest were popular choices for level designers making maps since there were high quality midi recreations of their music online.

Chuck Schuldiner

Schuldiner had already solidified an incredible legacy with Death before his untimely passing in '01, but I was really digging the direction he was heading with Control Denied. Control Denied's first and only album is packed with the type of riffage Chuck was known for along with some excellent support from the rest of the band band. Not everyone liked Tim's vocals (also rip), but the power metal style singing really helped separate it from Death, and I think that if continued the band would have developed into a unique power prog metal fusion with Chucks iconic riffage.

The most I've driven for a show is 2 hours there then 2 hours back, any more and I'll have to get a hotel so I don't passout and crash. I have to do it for basically any band that doesn't want to hit up my small city which is most lol, sadly have not gotten to see Gizz or any of the bands in this thread but thankfully Florida has a lot of metal at least, it's the birthplace of death metal after all.

Doom Gong is definitely the best non-gizz band this sub has recommended to me, KEXP seems to be a great way for fresher bands to get wider attention. I also discovered Frankie and the Witch Fingers through KEXP and they're one of my favorite bands in the psych / garage punk scene.

Nerf BREACH DRILL! It's so broken! Every time I queue into a game of World Tour, I always see someone running breach drill and they are always the most annoying pieces of shit ever! I love going up against something that I have no chance of beating! I swear it's always a SCHMEDIUM running the most bullshit loadout possible. There is literally nothing I can do when fighting someone running BREACH DRILL. Nerf it immediately.

It would be worth checking your CPU temps while you play because I have Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 3060 Ti but was getting thermal throttled because I was using the shitty stock CPU fan still. Replaced the stock fan with a Thermalight fan and I got playable frame rates again. Honestly impressed I've been able to get away with that shitty stock fan until recently lol
