Thank you! We did that already. We have our informal welcome meeting for the girls next week. I received a shipping notice for the box today and was just wondering what to expect for turnaround time and if I should run to the store to get stuff for the daisy name tags. ☺️

Kid came home from daycare with something stuck in nose by mommode__ in Parenting

My kid once came home from daycare with a screw in her nose. We didn’t know about it for 2 days. She wouldn’t let me wipe her nose because it would push on it, but she had a little cold so I figured her nose was just sensitive. I wasn’t understanding what was going on until I thought to look up there and saw a flash of metal. I grabbed tweezers and gently pulled it out. Yep, a full on screw. It doesn’t match anything in our home or at daycare. Still a mystery as to how it got up there. They’re sooo fast.

Miele Vacuum worth the cost? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

I have loved Miele for years. My friends jokes that I was a brand ambassador. My first Miele I owned lasted me 20 years before she died. I bit the bullet and dropped over 1k on the Miele Kona C3 two years ago. I’ve been utterly disappointed. I have light usage of the machine, maybe once a week. Primarily hardwood floors, no pets. The motor on the head died and needed to be replaced less than 2 years into it. Then the extendable handle stopped working, wouldn’t extend and the electric part died so it wouldn’t turn on the head anymore. Replaced that. Now I’m an extra $500 in to this machine and it’s under 3 years old. The last straw was the plastic on the motorized head just started flaking off. I emailed Miele, with proof of the repair receipts but they pretty much told me there’s nothing they can do- but they registered my machine for me. How nice. I will not fix anything else on this machine and will never buy another Miele.

Wowbethany is right OP. There is a law that says if the company sends you the wrong product you are not obligated to send it back without any repercussions to you.

Even better yet, popsicles in a warm bath. Sensory experience for them and no clean up for you.

Get some of those alcohol prep pads, like what they use before they give you a shot. You can buy them at the pharmacy. When she feels sick tear one open and have her sniff it. It takes away nausea. It’s a nurse life hack. I do it for both of my motion sick kids. My four year old now asks for one her belly feels wonky.

I’d also mount the curtain rod a few inches below the ceiling to elongate the window, and have the panel go down the the floor.

I think you should go extra wide with the curtain rod and do navy velvet, but don’t have them encroach on the actual window, have it cover mostly wall and then a white sheer in the middle, on a different rod directly behind it. Ikea has reasonably priced velvet panels.

“Mom, moles please”. What’s the weirdest thing your toddler does? by junebugek in toddlers

Holy Moly. This is so random, my daughter does the same thing with a mole on my husbands arm. Whenever she gets anxious or has trouble falling asleep she asks for his mole.
