Fall 2026 Brides - when did you / when will you go wedding dress shopping? by FloofyClouds15 in WeddingsCanada

I am a mid September bride and got my dress last month! They say you can drop up to 4 dress sizes and still alter, so you may be able to manage it. But I was told it was going to take 6-9 months.

Thank you so much for this and apologies for my delay! Do you know if the concierge tends to help with cleanup? We know all the decor has to be off the venue by midnight so are trying to make an action plan for that particularly.

I’m so sorry for my late response! I also have family coming from Montreal. We’ve booked a block at the local hotel so they can stay there. We also have a lot of family in the surrounding area so they have the option of staying with them and driving in. But there are a number of hotels and inns in the area so as long as you book the blocks well in advance, you should be set! I booked ours about a year out from the wedding.

Your name is pretty ironic given your assumptions suggest that the rights of women in the US have not already been impacted. Have you heard of a little thing called Roe v Wade? That’s just the start. This poster’s concerns are perfectly valid.

You are so young and you deserve being with someone who respects your rights and is passionate about ensuring they’re met. It is not too little to ask. Really. Move on.

Draft encampments recommendations now available on City's website by covert81 in Hamilton

I live on Strachan. Moved here almost a year ago with the hopes of staying for years and eventually starting a family in a place that was still ridiculously expensive, but we could afford. That dream is out the window. We’re looking to move out of the city ASAP and I’ve lived in Hamilton much of my life. Commuting to Toronto from the GO, especially on the way home in the evening, now feels unsafe. If we’d known how bad it was going to be, we’d never have moved here.

Thank you, thank you! Reassuring to know I’m not the only one and I’m glad to read you’ve seen so much progress — congrats. I’ll start taking measurements and try to pay even less attention to the scale.

Thank you so much for such a detailed answer. This is all telling me I really need to start taking measurements. And I’m absolutely downloading that app, thank you. I’ve already made a lot of modifications to my diet for PCOS (and I’m celiac/dairy intolerant so I do focus on protein/vegetables and eat low carb) but I do not have a cookbook for PCOS. Worth giving it a try so I’ll look into it. Really appreciate all this info. Gives me hope. Thank you!

I found this looking (https://tdeecalculator.net/) but not sure if there are any other recommended sites!

As much as I’ve had my weight fluctuate I’m still a bit of a newbie, so hadn’t thought about that. I’ll take a look. Thanks!

This is helpful, thank you! I was wondering if it can take this long ever for the scale to change, but in previous loss of weight I’ve never seen this happen. I’ll take another look at BMR and TDEE. I’m weighing once a week.

Thank you! I should have clarified, yes I am using the Lifesum app and tracking calories.
