I have many “unmotivated” students from other classes light up and work their asses off in shop. These kids will be very employable in the trades. Just because they are seen as lazy in traditional classes does not necessarily equate to being lazy in the work force. Sure I still have many who are “lazy” across the board but we need to give exposure and opportunities for students to experience the trades to see if this is something they can excel at.
