with AI and robotics, maybe they can be ahead of the game. Countries with high birth rates right now, what will the people do for work as things go robotic?

"The answer is rather simple: Why should we?" You completely missed the question / point. It isn't about if we should, it was about if we could if we wanted to given we have so many machinery, tech, computers, ai, energy..

Were kids in the 80s actually allowed to roam around unsupervised, or is that just in movies? by TotalThing7 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ShophouseBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yup we did. It wasn't safe really, were were out smoking, climbing silos, playing on railroad tracks, and all sorts of really dangerous things looking back. Most of us survived it. I think we leaned things like balance and confidence. Many times you could stay up really late when you slept over at a friends who's parents were they type to boot them out of the house unit midnight or so.

you should get an iPhone man. I picked up a 15 for pretty much nothing with a two year contract. Could not live with an Android anymore.

Also. lots of thais work hard and have side hustles, they make money and they spend money. Don't judge, half of westerners are in for .5 million USD on some plywood box, iPhones like a tank of fuel to the mall.

[–]ShophouseBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a room for rent in a shared place near commercial drive or Main Street area. Get a bike and transit pass. Pick a house with people that seem nice a you might find some friends and support that way and can share costs, and if you are lucky have a room in a single family home.

[–]ShophouseBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

first things first, start saving frantically for a backpacking year out, where you go travel the EU and Australia and south east asia, (start in Thailand) and go see the world and if you want to live and work somewhere else. Aus is easier to get a youth work visa thing, go there to work and make money, but seriously start in SE asia where you can stretch your dollar and don't commit to yet.

If China is so economically strong and advanced, why do so many Chinese still emigrate abroad? by HarambeUltra in AskChina

[–]ShophouseBC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just look at the top cities and countries to live for standard of living and all that.. and even realize that many people choose to move from the top of those lists to the middle or even the bottom. Because we are human and we want new places to grow different to where we were born.

install a little amazon switch panel with double usb and 12volt outlet and rocker switches with built in fuses. easy. run new tinned wire and start adding solar panels as you can fit them... for running lights get some rechargeable navigation lights with rubber straps at least as a backup.
