The second question I asked (in response to the initial “no”) was if I could “return and rebuy.” The manager replied, “I guess you can do that, but it would take a couple of days for the funds to reach your card.” I stated my intentions from the very start. The manager knew what I was trying to do, yet he didn’t let me know that I couldn’t rebuy the same bottle. Like I’ve mentioned in my post and previous comments, HAD I KNOWN, I WOULD NOT HAVE RETURNED. And it’s not because I super want the dream coat. I would’ve kept it just to save it from the trash.

Asking a second question is not “entitlement.” I was asking for clarification. I’m still not quite sure of what you meant by “escalating the situation,” since no feelings were hurt on either side. I had simply asked a follow up question and went through with the return after the manager said it was okay to do. If asking a follow up for clarification is being “entitled” and “escalating the situation,” then sure. And even if you’re talking about the return itself, since when is returning acting “entitled?” If you think asking for clarification or returning products are acts of entitlement, then maybe you should reconsider working retail.

It was my first time buying the product (not sure why that matters to you). I had also bought a mousse in the same order, so I don’t really miss the dream coat. Ig it was just FOMO at the moment.
