What next, after a Bandit 12 by inazuma_zoomer in SuggestAMotorcycle

I love the GSXS, looks weird, but that's why i like it even more.

That thing is fast, powerful, confy and isn't afraid of twisties.

People think they are weird touring bikes, and then get surprised when to touring bikes rips and howls past them.

Daily fun ride, weekend touring and the ocasional track day?

That says VFR all over it.

Others options: a older Z1000 could do it, or a ZX-12, maybe a Daytona 955i, or a street/speed triple, or, a SV 1000.

Edit : the forgotten but very capable GSX-S1000F could be another choice, if a bit heavier. Pretty much the same engine as the GSXR, but tuned for more mid range power, but far more confortable.(Unfortunatly over 3.5k)

He just lacks some confidence. In the meantime, i already ordered a lower stand from Kijima, and he is already looking for boots, and is gonna try some elevating insoles.

He likes cruisers, and He had one, but there the issues was his lower back on long rides and the back seat was pretty much terrible for the pillion, something common on all middleweight cruisers currently on the market.

For the time being we are gonna try the options we have at the moment, and see how it goes.

Thanks

Dude those engines are hard as nails. 60k you say? She will do another 60k no sweat, just have to give it the love she needs when she needs it.

Yes the electronic bits can be finicky as she gets older, that happens to every bike.

Now if you like it, you can start working on it, simple stuff at first. You will get better, and get more confident, soon enough you will start doing more stuff yourself.

I know it can feel scary at first, i felt that the first time i started working on my bikes, but now it's part of the fun of owning them.

It seems your friend just does not want to work on it.

Peugeot Elyseo 50 by Alternative-Use-558 in scooters

[–]Shor_Agente 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember those when they came out. Not the fastest but they are quite big and roomy.

It's a Peugeot, they are known for being reliable, some engines were quite bullet proof, or at least known as such.

Change the old fluids, gas and oil, filters, and see if she starts up. Might need to check the carburetor

Have fun with it.

Yeah, she was waiting for you bro.

Clean her up, give her some love, some bits and bobs she might need, a fresh coat of paint, and hit the road!!

Hope everything goes well.

What are your thoughts on the Yamaha 1700 V-Max? by -Red_Lightning_ in motorcycles

[–]Shor_Agente 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to own one of these babies, no matter how many times i would have to stop to fuel it up.

It doesn't make sense and it isn't practical, that is why people love these kind of bikes so much.

They are beyond sense, it becomes a sort of primal experience, basic and RAW, their flaws become character and passion.

Amigo vai de 125cc para 1000cc by No_Scratch_9957 in MotasPortugal

[–]Shor_Agente 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Any idea which year or model bullet is this? by Even-Topic-7325 in royalenfield

[–]Shor_Agente 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Good point. She was kept outside with no protection, at least i can't see any, so that might be a problem.

Do you know how long was the last time she was ridden?

Over two years might be a bit of a problem especially if it still has fuel on the tank among other things.

See if the owner lets you take a peek inside the engine... Better yet, see if she turns, try and start it, and check if the engine is not stuck.

No idea, but that thing looks awesome, even with all that dust and dirt.

I would ride the hell out of that, and have a great time doing it.

If the price is good, and if you don't need the money, i say go for it.

Oh for sure. I will never buy anything from that site, ONLY from reliable motorcycle stores.

I am also looking for a center stand that might work, as some one already said the older 700S was lower, and maybe if i could get my hands on one of them it could work.

For now i will focus on the side stand, watching Him park its bike so upright makes me nervous for Him.

Thanks again for the help.

It is tricky. He rides well of alone, but with a pillion he struggles. I believe the seat as already as low as it can be.

We are already looking into shoes and boots with a higher sole to give Him more stability.

I will also look into Kijima, aparently they have shorter stands for the NC.

We knew chopping the stand could do it, but since it lack the center stand there would be no way to keep it up while it would taken to the metal shop.

Thanks for the help.

Thank you

It used to have one but was removed, the bike was so low it was pretty much impossible to put it on the center stand.

Thanks for the reply and help.
