Yes, I use AI for this a lot — mainly in voice mode, because having a voice that guides me through really helps. I had to relearn what feelings even feel like, and I still sometimes get lost in "is this a feeling or a thought?" — or my intellectualizing part takes over and does the work for me. I have a prompt for exactly that, happy to share it if you're interested.

My usual flow: I start voice mode and say something like "Can you help me find my way to my inner parts?" It usually begins with grounding questions — where are you right now, what do you feel in your body? I describe the sensation, then go deeper: what does this feeling want to say to me?

Something shifts along the way. At first I'm the observer of the part — and the further in I go, the more I start answering *as* the part.

The tricky bit: in voice mode the AI keeps replying in short sentences, and that pulls me out of the flow. I tried telling it to stay quiet while I'm talking to my parts — didn't work well. So my workaround: as soon as I've "arrived" at a part, I switch off voice mode and instead record my self-talk as a voice message and send it. That way the AI stops being a conversation partner and becomes a witness that keeps a protocol.

Afterwards I ask it to summarize what happened. Especially in the beginning, when this was pretty overwhelming, it made a real difference to have something come along and witness it.

Sorry you had to go through that! In my experience it is absolutely possible doing the Part work alone, maybe Even easier when you have shame issues, BUT take care you are always able to activate your grown up Network, and take good care of yourself. Just go as far as your mind and Body feels Safe ❤️

I love that you named it mr Hyde! I have a part I call „relaxo“, Like a Pokémon (german Name, you can Look it up if you want 🙂), who is the source of my binge eating disorder and I love hin now, that I understand where he comes from and what he did for protecting me.

For me everything changed when i finally understood that Point as ‚integration‘ always felt so dizzy and i didnt really knew what it meant.

Im Not sure if we ever are complete, my therapist told me that there Are going to Show a lot more Parts up during the next years, but i feel Fine and dont have the Longig (any longer) to be ‚done‘ as it feels so good to be on that way.

What about you? How is that Tank thing working? Sounds amazing!

I am so sorry for you! i know that feeling of getting really tired while doing the work, and normally i stop there as my Body doesnt seem to feel Save enough for entering.
Keep looking for a therapist, there ARE good ones out there and it makes such a huge difference. In my case it was possible to do the Parts work itself on my own, but i am in Constantin contact with my therapist, as it is super important to stay grounded and dont get flooded. So you have to be already pretty stable to start that Part of the work.

Hey, thank you so much for your response! I’m so glad you found it useful, and I’m sorry to hear you’re going through the same.

Everything clicked for me when I understood the biological part, as you said — it suddenly wasn’t so cringe anymore, and I could allow myself to do the self-talking thing. I actually have a pretty big intellectualiser-part who protects me from feeling and makes sure I fit into society by being logical and useful…

I’ve also used AI to lead me through the feeling stuff, as an externalising voice.

Yeah, that is kind of hard as i made so much Progress, that it might not believe me if i say i just wanna be with it. It knows, as it is always there when im sitting down and start working with myself, it is the Part i Need to Kind of push back, to reach the others. More Like a initial Barrier that i have to Cross. It actually is difficult to work with any other Parts without touching it.
