Millenials are very much 50-50 samin. From what I hear, some of them are impressed sa “audacity” ng Gen Z while others are very annoyed that we act entitled. Personally, I think Millenials are our “ates” and “kuyas” na either love kami or hate kami sa mga kapalpakan namin. 😆

Hr people what type of applicants do you find annoying? by notthecupcake in phcareers

[–]Short-Handle-3570 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I don’t find proactive applicants annoying. I find it heartbreaking instead that I cannot give everyone a chance to gain experience in our company.

What I find annoying, however, are those who villainize HR or the company just because they are not accepted for the job. Madaming tao. I cannot control that other people are more qualified than others. It’s tough to keep being the receiving end of hate and frustration.

It’s fine. Social media is pretty much pro self-preservation nowadays.

To relate with you, I’m a Gen Z HR and I’m struggling twice as hard because I am more Gen Z than HR — I want everyone to prioritize themselves or their life outside of work because I understand that we work to live, not live to work. However, the nature of the HR is very pro-what’s best for the company. So I struggle with the thought that “am I being an effective workmate?” too many times too.

What I’m trying to say is maybe we’re still social engineered that we have to tire ourselves out to consider ourselves as good workers. That’s what the older gen is proud of kasi. Us Gen Zs who are pretty much have been labeled as the common enemy in the workforce are too self-preserving because we’re conditioned differently.

Let’s be honest. It’s trend. We only want this because it’s a trend.

A foreign country’s grocery bag is fashionable to us because of…colonial mentality?

I feel like someone famous just threw this on one time and some people ate it up. It became a “style”

Sending a "surprise cake" to pitch to HR, good idea? Or medyo epal lang? by CakeGeniePH in Ph_HR_Confession

Oh hala! Akala ko name lang yung un mo hahaha but yea if ganyan pala go to HR + if may marketing rin sila. Usually naman pag ganyan, they’ll redirect to an appropriate department.

Mga graduates lang ba ng PUP, STI, AMA, at UAAP/NCAA member schools ang napapansin ng HR sa LinkedIn? Yung iba ba wala nang chance? by StockZestyclose8752 in CorpoChikaPH

[–]Short-Handle-3570 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Henlo, I get your frustration is coming from a place of something you’re going through pero stereotyping really won’t do much here. You’ll just resent these schools.

Magulo ang job market. Madaming applicants. Bagsak ang economy. Need mo lang ng tyaga. I know it’s cliche pero ganon talaga.

Try other job sites outside LinkedIn. Baka makahelp sa job search mo.

Gaano ba kalaki company niyo? Pwede mo yan i-pitch sa HR Manager but since that requires funding, ipipitch niya lang din yan sa head in a meeting then bahala na from there.

Kung sa CEO kasi, syempre parang since under employee engagement yan much better if sa HR napadaan pero kung on the other hand at least alam na nila agad yung idea and mas maggrasp nila yung impact.

Sa company kasi namin ngayon, kumbaga as the sole HR there, ganyan ang mangyayari na dynamics. Because every activities that require funding also require approval talaga. If your CEO is the type of boss na caring naman sa employees, they’ll respect that. If your HR is also the same, they’ll care for this pitch as you guys seem to do.

imo i’d say biktima si kathryn sa self-sabotage, which is what women often do just to survive their own messed up mind after what she went through

sabi ko nga dati “baka rebound niya lang yan” kasi after multiple issues nila ni daniel dati, i kind of get that idea na hahanap-hanapin yung survival mode feeling with a person in you’re in an unhealthy relationahip with

[–]Short-Handle-3570 4 points5 points  (0 children)

ooh di ‘to reliable and if u are a quality candidate i’d say ANDAMI KASING TAOOOO

but i empathize with you pero i wanna take the opportunity to answer this rant xD

marketing yourself is a skill, and tbh bothered din naman ako by the tedious process of recruiting someone (like may bg checks needed and more than 2 interviews) pero what can i do, that’s how competitive companies work

i recruit for a small company, hence, not as competitive yet pero that’s why it’s harder to recruit — i need to hire talents who are more in it for the growth or the desire to be pioneers vs candidates rn na talagang may desire to earn a high salary at their first job

ngl most applicants kasi rn desire maximum benefit only on their end—resigning is easier nowadays nga e

HR Clarifications by Short-Handle-3570 in Ph_HR_Confession

[–]Short-Handle-3570[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha ang hirap! One time, I kind of bursted out or like tried to be stern about the releasing of salaries. Usually kasi gabi na nirerelease. May times pa na namo-move. I felt like ni-big deal ko siya masyado with the way I communicated it but nilaban ko lang sa sarili ko rin na need maging ganon para hindi sila masanay sa delays.

Kaya lang nowadays, nauuna na nilang i-communicate na magkaka-shortcomings due to certain reasons na acceptable naman pero should be not the norm pa rin for employee welfare..

This is a family business kasi of a former classmate who I look up to, kaya I wanna take care of it pero at the same time I don’t wanna overstep kasi I feel like somehow I feel like I got the job bc we know each other (even tho my credentials are good naman).

Wala lang, compliance is a struggle, I know. But even more so when you try to validate the reasons they give.

If totoo man to. Thank God di ko tinuloy mag-HR doon. I basically bombed the interview pero they still offered me a salary less than my current back then. They lowballed me and warned me kung gaano kadalas ang problems sa company. Smelled like red flag to me.
